Yes, I am a gay man, and if i am walking down the street and I see a woman walking towards me, I promptly jay walk and cross the street to avoid possible contact. ;) I'd say there is a good amount of misogyny in the gay community. Whether it stems from anger/sadness towards disapproving mothers, or the attraction to masculinity, or any other set of circumstances, there is a shared set of tenets in being a man and having the male experience. But look at it this way: assuming you are straight, you probably have mostly straight friends. It's not your fault, you're not homophobic or anything like that.
