But neither are calling for the removal of capitalism. I suppose technically you are correct but what would you call the "equality of outcome" that they seek? Is there a strong case based on facts against "equality of opportunity"? (I'm asking sincerely). If capitalism is based on the equality of opportunity and not equality of outcome, can it not be argued they are inherently against capitalism? Is the use of state-based social services not indicative of socialist leanings?

Totalitarianism is a political system. Communism is an economic system. Communism can be just as totalitarian as fascism. The reason I feel socialism/communism could be more appropriate (besides the fact that Feminist theory is derived from Marxism) is that word they love to use: Equality. I mean I can see how one could argue they are facists as a perjorative but their goals are clearly in line with socialism/communism.

Well that was an interesting read. I totally see how having two polar opposite opinions under one movement is rather silly. I'm sure this isn't the only case of this either. I think this particular divide has more to do with ideological upbringing than actual Feminist theory. Haha I love how I'm not equipped to deal with the real world cause I'm not some uptight twat who gets his panties in a bunch when a cop talks to me for a few minutes. If the cops are that big of assholes where you live than I truly feel bad for you. I'd wander around at night and get pulled over nearly every single time. All they'd do is ask a couple questions and tell me to have a good night/be safe. Not once did I feel they assumed/implied I was any sort of criminal. If you want this changed, I'm not going to stand in your way. I just don't personally see it as a problem.

Maybe I'm naive to think the officers will be polite. And really, if you believe you have the right for this not to happen to you, I'm all for it. I'd be more concerned why there are so many cops hanging out in parks but no, it honestly wouldn't bother me. Chances are if I'm going to the same park(s) it wouldn't take the officers 11 years to recognize me. If it was anything more than a question, I'd probably be upset. Chances are if you don't make a big deal about it, and you're not getting pissed off, your children will be fine. I've had some shitty experiences with police officers but never because they wanted to ask a couple questions.
