The question is, why do you need one on one meetings? I have had countless one on one meetings, sometimes scheduled sometimes on a whim, with people who have mentored me professionally. It isn't a chance to talk shit behind someone's back it's a chance to learn from someone more experienced one on one.

Yeah my mom is far from perfect but she legit just wants me to be happy. I told her I was dropping out of school, she said she knew I would make it work and she supports me. I told her I wanted a vasectomy in my 20s, she said just make sure you still protect yourself from STDs. I told her recently that I am planning to move over 3000 miles away and probably never come back and she told me she thinks it's a great idea and she will miss be but she knows it is the right choice. I guess moral of the…

At first I thought the community may just be under moderated, but at least one of the mods are in on it. It was never a super tolerant sub but it has certainly gone downhill.

I don't owe you an explanation. The fact that you think you know every active participant in a sub with 318k subscribers is hilarious though.

I don't think this particular post is bad content on its own. There is just a very noticeable shift in the tone of the posts and comments over the past couple years here.

When I joined this sub it was about men getting longer prison sentences and having higher suicide raters. It's been really sad watching it devolve.

Yeah the majority of fights I have ever seen were just people in a blind rage who lost their temper. People try and put way too much logic into it.

All inclusive statements only need one example to be rendered false. If you honestly believe that literally every woman in the world is not aware they might get hit, then you aren't being rational.

There's never a time where a woman goes to strike a man and thinks, "I might get hit back," it is always, "I'm a woman and I can hit a man, a man cannot hit me back." I disagree with this assertion. I would swap out never with "rarely".

I literally just explained the implication my friend.

I think the implication is that she confidently went to hit him because she doesn't fear the repercussions of instigating physical violence against someone larger and stronger than her, presumably because of her pussy pass. You're correct that we require more context to know if this 100% fits that scenario (I've known some tough women who will throw a punch even knowing they might get punched back), but it's not an unfair assumption in my opinion.

And they got downvoted into oblivion. OP has a victim complex and only remembers comments that confirm his bias that the general populous is against men.

I agree but that isn't relevant to my point. I am talking about whether or not stiffer sentences are an effective way to prevent crime.

I recognize that crimes can have different motives but I still remain unconvinced that stiffer sentences (beyond a certain threshold) prevent crime.

Is the death penalty proven to be an effective way to prevent murder? I recognize that crimes can have different motives but I still remain unconvinced that stiffer sentences (beyond a certain threshold) prevent crime.

Oh yeah I'm not trying to definitively tell you that you're wrong. I'm just hesitant to support harsher sentences for most crimes considering I live in the country with the highest prison population per capita in the world already. It's one of those things that seems like it would make sense but in practice often proves to be ineffective.

It would also drastically reduce the false accusations I challenge this assertion by pointing out that stiff drug sentences are not proven to be an effective way to prevent drug crimes.

I'm never going to stop and debate with political college students of any kind. It's a fruitless exercise. That being said, let them do their thing and learn about the world and what they are passionate about. They will level out as they age like the majority of us.

Couple of things: 1) making a passing comment to a stranger is not harassment (and he was far from "belligerent") 2) you don't have to be an incel to be annoyed by an IRL streamer in public

Although this legendary edict was never part of maritime law, it was adhered to so strictly on the Titanic that men were actually stopped from boarding lifeboats, many of which went to sea only three-quarters full. So people died who didn't need to? What the fuck that's so dumb.

It started younger. They charged him with something they knew would stick. Under 15 is a more serious charge but more time had passed so it was harder to get a conviction. At least that's how I understood it.

I don't know. She was his half sister and is not related to me. I assume pretty well. I don't think she was a totally unwilling participant but she was just so young. It started years before he was charged.

My cousin got 7 years for molesting his 15 year old sister when he was 18. It is a very complicated situation. He still deserves the time. Edit: I want to clarify here because I feel like my wording wasn't 100% clear. I think he deserves the jailtime. Not like he deserves to have the time back. No one misinterpreted but I just don't want to leave such a key detail ambiguous.

Yeah wasn't trying to accuse you. I don't think the rest of the quote takes away from your point I just wanted to add the context in case other lazy people like me who read the comments before the article got the wrong idea.

Entertaining video but I don't think it fits on this sub. If anything it's pussy pass granted because the women weren't physically able to do their job properly and received help from a man.

I agree with you but taking half of that quote out of context makes it sound wayyyyy more whiny in my opinion. “Rod at no time ever, offered to help or coach me, instead he made my life a misery and deliberately and spuriously damaged my reputation,” she said in her witness statement.

I remember when I was a young kid, maybe 8 or 9 years old, I was bickering with the girl who sat next to me in class. Well things escalated and she stabbed me with a dull pencil. I had a temper and shut down completely. Crying, incoherent rambling, the whole nine yards. My parents pick me up for school prepared to ground me for making a scene at school. It wasn't the first time, like I said I had a temper. They could tell something was wrong. Usually I would make a million excuses for my behavio…

Sex is important. When people don't have sex at least every once in a while it clouds their thinking.

Sometimes it feels like this sub has a lot of T_D spillover. I often disagree with the sentiment of posts here but some of the content is so damn good I won't stop coming back. This is one of those cases.
