Just a note of clarification: claiming you're a ____ addict (meth, alcohol, coke, whatever) is part of the recovery process. Recovery centers teach that addiction is a lifelong illness and you will be a _____ addict for the rest of your life, in recovery. She may have stopped using years ago, but is still using the terminology to help herself remember how shitty her life used to be.

My guess is this is in a small town and the drive-in owner was on his 4th beer when he decided to post. Coming from a small town myself, I'd guess he'll be fine.

He wasn't smart about it, that's for sure, but that doesn't make him guilty. I'm not so sure, either. If he found her in the bathroom--sick--and coaxed her back to a bedroom under the pretext of taking care of her, then proceeded to force himself on her when she was beyond the capacity to resist, then yes, that would make him guilty. I'm not saying that is what happened, but with how little we know about the story it very well could have. And if it did go down that way, that would indeed be rape…
