Actually, in some states, you do get a court appointed attorney. North Carolina for example.

I think something that is being overlooked is that a court order is a mandate that the county collection agency is required to follow. If a non custodial parent loses their job, they should file a motion to modify the support order. Failure to do so will result in keeping the order as it is, causing a buildup of impossible to pay child support.

Well, it isn't just an anti man thing. Any non custodial parent that owes child support, and who does not pay, can be held in civil or criminal contempt. Civil contempt means you go to jail until you pay, criminal contempt means that you go to jail for a specified time. There are women in jail too. Sure, the vast majority that I see are men.
