Forgive my interjection on this subject. It is completely understandable why you are protecting yourself from the hurt of opening up to another relationship. Divorce is a life changing experience. You need to heal yourself, you need to make peace with the ending before you can move foward. Find yourself. Good luck.

It sounds Ike your intuition is telling you it's time to break free. Take responsibility for yourself and do what your heart is telling you too. The new girl is just a crutch for you to not have to make that final decision for yourself.
