Thanks for sharing your experiences! And they are definitely friends - when I said interested I basically just mean I think some of them are handsome. I’ve never hung out with any of them one on one, only in group settings with men and women present. Is this still a red flag? If it is, I’ll adjust my behavior accordingly.

Thanks for the bluntness and for putting things into perspective!

Thanks for clarifying! I definitely have way more female friends (it’s probably a 80-20 ratio) but this is just way more male friends than I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t really hang out with any of them one on one, mostly in group settings with men and women present. If I don’t have a SO but just a man I started going out with, would it be inappropriate to be friends with a lot of men? If he was my BF I’d gladly cut every man off for him, but we just started seeing each other.

I totally get what you mean. I'm in my third year of college, and the 3 types of women are almost obviously divided by this. However, if you keep trying to squeeze yourself into a hole you don't fit in, it's just gonna make you miserable in the long run. You don't have to be a Thottie, you don't have to be Against the Patriarchy, and you don't have to be a Wallflower. If you like the confidence of the party girls, take that aspect from them without partying and drinking all the time. If you enjo…

It was honestly an epiphany! Glad I realized it relatively early on in my life.

Thank you!! I'm proud that I can rely on my own cooking instead of fast food's or the frozen department. Just this alone makes me a lot more comfortable in my skin!

Good luck! I'm so happy to hear that someone is going through the exact same thing I was. From what you've been describing, I feel like you'll definitely see results soon too!

It definitely is tough! I totally understand because I used to be very introverted and standoffish. For me, it came from a place of fear, a fear of seeming desperate or eager. I thought that the only way to protect myself from being disliked was to keep all my interactions minimal and short unless we were already friends. After I discovered RPW, I picked up that being sincere and involved with every interaction you have doesn't make people think you're trying too hard - it makes them happy that …

Yeah, that's what I meant by XS! I wanted to start weight training because I wanted to shape up my lower body which you can't really do with cardio. My type of petite is the type that makes me look like a little boy depending on what I wear, lol. I also realized I have incredibly low upper body strength when I was moving out of my apartment and struggled to carry things that most people, women included, wouldn't have struggled with. I'm not trying to look like a female body builder, even though …

Being open and warm is by far the biggest feminine indicator! Try your best to always have a friendly demeanor and you’ll start feeling like you’re radiating feminine energy. This means being nice to everyone, from your parents to the cashier to random strangers, not just the men you’re interested in. If you want to appear more feminine physically, find clothes you know flatter you. Looking feminine to me doesn’t necessarily mean wearing dresses and heels all the time. It means wearing stuff tha…

Yes of course! I try to run a mile once or twice a week. I've just started a weight training class and we do 2 sets of ~10 on machines that work our lats, chests, legs, triceps, biceps, abs, and back. Depending on the machine, as of this week, I can do around 40-50 lbs on most of the upper body machines and 70-100 lbs on the lower body machines. I've used these same machines at the gym before by just looking at the pictures on these machines and trying it. I hurt myself by not being careful, so …

Sure, it's sexy that so many women are attracted to him, but he obviously isn't a guy with a lot of self-control. I personally wouldn't trust anyone, man or woman, if they were the homewrecker to a relationship or marriage. Meanwhile, you are very aware of your looks-gap. I don't know how either of you actually look, so I can't say for certain whether or not he's actually out of your league or if you're just too hard on yourself. Still, the mindset of being less worthy than the other women aroun…

I wanna thank you again for linking it to me! It truly made a change as drastic as day and night, all without taking up too much effort or putting myself TOO out there! Haha, exactly! IDK why some people (past me included) are so opposed to pleasant conversations about the little things. They don't waste your time and they boost your mood - what's not to like?

Wow, thank you so much! I'm honored that you'd even consider something I wrote for the sidebar. I'm still a work in progress since I only finished up monk mode and started putting myself back out there, but I'm glad that something that happened to me because of RPW may resonate with the other people on this thread!

Thanks for understanding where I'm coming from, teaandtalk! I think that though red_philosopher brings up some good points like how dangerous it is for men to get their actions unfairly interpreted, I know I wouldn't do that to any man who was interested in me or vice versa if they were doing me no harm (which has been the case 100% of the time anyways). Still, that's just me personally so I wouldn't blame a man if he was extra careful because of the stigma that things like #metoo has brought. I…

Yeah, I can see why it'd be too risky at work. I think classes are a bit different because they only last 4-5 months, so if anything super embarrassing happens, I wouldn't really have to see them after the class ends.

Hm, you're right! Is it safe to say they're not interested if they don't get coffee with you then? This would save me a lot of time in a relatively painless way!

That's a great idea. I definitely don't know any of these potential prospects well enough to choose which one I like the best, so hanging out as a group is a great way to get to know everyone under relatively innocent terms. I'll try to initiate something soon. Thank you for your input!

My club meets from 8pm-10pm on weekdays so it's a little difficult to find an excuse to hang out with them afterwards. Hopefully I manage to get close to the one I'm interested in and I can ask them if they wanna grab food before! That seems like such a simple and low investment solution! I'll definitely try it out. Thanks so much!

Omg! And here I was overthinking my bills haha, I wouldn't know how to act if a $1000 bill ever came to my table! That and planning a trip for you to the Maldives sounds so romantic of him. Yeah, I don't see this guy as RP-aware, but I know he has decent success with the ladies that he might have his own way of gaming. Either way, I could consider the generosity to be a green flag regardless.

Thanks for the advice! Do you have any other tips to show that you are still a sexual being and have a sensual side, without having sex with them?

Haha it's not that I don't want it or that I'm mature. I think a big part of it is that I'm super sexually inexperienced and kinda suck with IOIs, so even if I'm feeling them that night, nothing happens. Then the next morning my rationality kicks back in and I'll be glad nothing happened!

Haha, if I already Netflix (in this case, I guess HBO) and chilled with him, I wouldn't even bother asking this question! I want to have him over because I'm interested in something serious with long-term potential with him, and I still find it difficult to form a deep connection with someone if you have never stepped foot into their house or vice versa. I'd like to know how he lives, if he can cook, how organized he keeps his living space, etc. Even though I'm not against multiple dating, if I'…

I haven't dated anyone over 2 years older than me, so I can't even imagine a 30+year-old man who could be interested in me and have similar interests in me. In terms of priorities, though, it's clear that they rank far ahead of the 20-year-old men.

Thanks so much for your super detailed reply! I find it super fascinating that that little of men are actually RP or naturals. I knew it wasn't everyone, but I always assumed it was over a quarter of the male population or something! As for your point about whether or not my desire to actually have sex or not is a shit test, I'd be lying if I said there isn't some part of me that would be a little turned on if they were assertive enough to get me in the mood. That being said, the reason I asked …

Regarding your first point, do you have any tips on how to mention this boundary as early as the second date? Usually my dates are quite casual and slow, so we rarely talk about relationship expectations early on as it really is more like two friends grabbing dinner or hiking, with slight romantic connotations. Regarding your second point, what's your guess of the percentage of men that are RP-aware or are "naturals?" Especially because I live in a liberal area, I always assumed that a lot of me…

Thanks for the solid advice! My only dilemma is that most of the guys I date are equating "girl coming over = sex" because they're college-aged so I can only suspect that they're, well, quite thirsty. Of course, I shouldn't generalize and you're right that it's all a part of the vetting process if a guy becomes too pushy when I'm over at his.

Thanks for the advice! I love the idea of planning something as simple as dessert afterwards! You're so right about how much of a red flag it is when he chooses to overstep your boundaries for his own gain.

In my experience, many attractive young women in my social circles gravitated more towards Tinder and Bumble as opposed to OkCupid because they felt like OkCupid was very intense. It kind of seems like it was designed for an older audience with the sole intent of finding something Very Serious. These women didn't want to seem too eager to find love, so they avoided joining an app that seemed to be much more eager than the others. They weren't looking for hookups on Tinder and Bumble, but just wa…

For me, it wasn't Tumblr that turned me into an SJW but Twitter, which made it even more of an echo chamber because it wasn't just internet friends from all over the world but the people I actually interacted with at school, work, etc. I really thought all people had this mentality even though it was really only a few vocal individuals. I live in a pretty liberal area, which is good for me because that's how I align politically but I can't deny the negative consequences that SJW mentalities have…
