On myself, why? I do appreciate that I am. But manipulating others is certainly easier, and I don’t really have that ability on nearly the same level as a woman even if I wanted it. Even setting aside the advantage of influence through sexuality attraction, women already get way more sympathy and leniency in general. If a woman gets beat up in public everyone goes to her rescue, and she will be tended to after. If a man gets beat up in public he is lucky if he gets help, and he will also likely …

I think you’re taking his point the wrong way. Men’s sexuality is a good thing, but women take it for granted, along with all the advantages that it brings them. If men were not sexually attracted to women, then women would lose one of their biggest advantages in life: the powerful ability to influence, manipulate, and sometimes control men. Without anyone caring about their beauty, attractiveness, femininity… and without men’s sex drive… women just kind of become weaker versions of men

Women: you’re the one who asked me out, so you pay. Also women: why does nobody ask me out

How about teaching people to build more lifeboats? Its not like there’s a finite amount of success to be won

Do you have a link I can check out about the life saving part? I had heard women can get it if it’s necessary for their well being.

Sorry I confused you with one of the many other women that was saying that on here. I feel like you're not listening to what I was saying, though. Men who want success have to take a leadership role and also be cool with a lot of rejection. Rejection comes primarily from incompatibility. It means you successfully determined that you are not compatible. There's only one way to find a woman you're compatible with, and that's checking compatibility with women until you find it. You're implying weir…

Whoa there, that's a quick zero to sixty. A lot of men get upset when they get rejected. Accepting rejection means being cool about it, not taking it as a personal insult or whatever. I was speaking in the context of a healthy dating relationship. I see what you're saying is how can leadership be involved under the cold-approach scenario. That's the motivation and influence part. You said yourself that woman have no motivation to be with strangers. So if a man wants success, he has to first moti…

First statement, true. I don't see it as mutually exclusive with my statement. Hoping for luck and accepting risk of rejection are two different things. Unless by "hoping for luck" you mean "hopefully there is a worthy woman somewhere here and I will interview them all to find out" Second, leadership has everything to do with dating. What the hell kind of Dom could I be I if I can't lead a sub towards a positive outcome for both of us?

There was a woman (from tinder) that I slept with recently that I never really made an attempt to see again. We texted dirty and sweet nothings over the next few days but I kind of fell off of that. The sex was fun and we had chemistry, but I wasn't into her anymore based on certain aspects of her personality I had come to know that night which had nothing to do with sexuality. So I can see how you could twist that from the female experience, and say "I just wanted sex" but that's not the realit…

Maybe it served a purpose for society, but don’t you think it had a negative effect on happiness within the marriage? If a woman has been shamed for her sexuality her whole life, do you think she’s going to magically become a sexual freak with her husband once she gets married? Probably not. Personally I don’t give a damn what’s good for society. I just want fulfilling personal relationships.

Going around hoping for luck isn’t a recipe for success. Developing responsibility and leadership is. Hence the pressure to develop those traits if a man wants success in dating. Setting boundaries is fine and well, but it is not leadership. Leadership involves leading others towards a positive outcome. It takes engagement, influence and motivation.

Sure. But I want to get to know women first, before I can decide if I want to have sex with them. Sometimes I’d rather just rather have them as friends. And that is hard when every woman is jumping straight to “all you want is sex”. Its jarring.

I’m not saying “oppression” in terms of mistreatment, but in lacking opportunities. They couldn’t vote if they wanted to, they were denied access to jobs they may have been good at, they weren’t really given autonomy, etc. Men generally suffered worse conditions but they had more choices about how they could deal with that.

Huh. Well, I’m a stranger to this red pill blue pill stuff. I just found this sub searching for a place to put this post. It just sounds like these guys have been burned too many times.

I think all that it takes to quell that desire is experience getting laid by bimbos until it gets boring. It feels like something is missing… intense connection, mutual admiration, deep trust, etc. The reason sex is the best thing in the world is because of how complex, intimate and deep it can be. Most men don’t understand that without some experience.

Of course it is, but we don't JUST want sex, and some of us aren't even interested in giving it to a woman that doesn't meet our standards which include personality. So what if I get laid by a bimbo, that doesn't mean anything for me.

eh, I'm on board with that. I think it's on men for making ourselves too available and easy to the point that most women don't need to put out any effort and in effect remain undeveloped and boring.

It's arrogant to want women to have positive traits? Is that a joke? Attraction is not a problem for me.

Uh, women are definitely attracted to me, I date plenty. This isn't a frustration post about my "difficulties". It's more the realization that I've always been the one bringing more value into the interactions, and not feeling fulfilled or impressed by women. Regardless, I'm magnetized towards a female presence. I just wish there was more there.

stereotype that doesn't apply to me or this post. The worst kind of stereotype, a mostly false one. Most men do want more than just sex, even if some won't admit it.

I've gone through most of my life being very interested in different women and not making a peep about it because I had no clue what to say or how. Because of this concept that men are being instilled with today: the mere act of expressing interest in a woman before she expresses interest in you makes you appear lower value in her eyes. You can see it even in the comments here, women describe men who approach them as creeps who are just out to use them and waste their time. I'm trying to break t…

The way you do it is what controls how you will come accross. Same thing applies to men, honestly. It takes a lot of practice and acceptance of the scary expectation that you're probably going to screw it up a bunch of times and look silly before you get good at it. But that applies to any skill worth developing. You need to have some confidence in the fact that it doesn't matter how you "look", it just matters how you are choosing to develop your life. And that is an extremely admirable trait t…

I've heard good things about women in Poland, and New Zealand for example, but I particularly said "US" because I can't speak on other countries where I don't have as much personal experience.

I'm totally down with an assertive woman, as long as she is still respectful in her assertiveness. I'll be the same. Sounds like a good time to me. I'm just not sure why women think their time is too valuable to meet new people who have positive traits? Time is extremely valuable, and making new connections is extremely valuable, so that seems like a good match in value. I'm NOT the guy that gets upset at rejection. That's another guy. I'm the guy that is 100% cool about it, but then later I thi…

There's an assumption here that you have to "fall for" someone to be engaging. You absolutely don't. It's extremely low-investment for me to meet up with a woman to go dancing, because I'd be going dancing anyway. It doesn't really imply that anything has to go anywhere or that I have to be totally into her. It's enough that she has limbs and a pretty smile.

I only work work with men, just how the cookie crumbles in my field. Since I already interact with men constantly for work, I'm not really interested in doing anything social with them. I usually travel alone or with my male assistant. And he is completely uninterested in any kind of social life with or without me. He's straight, attracts women easily, used to date models, and just isn't interested in dating anymore because he is jaded about female personalities. I'm divorced and could easily fe…

Fair answer. At the same time, if more women had the positive traits that I find appealing, I think it wouldn't be that hard. Curious and engaging with the unknown and different, for one. Isn't that a good trait for any gender?

I think you're corroborating the point of my post. Every statement you make is shrouded in fears and negative assumptions. It's a negative influence on women's mindsets based on cultural influences and perceptions.

Why does every woman jump straight to sex? Jesus christ. I have no problems getting laid. I can lead a woman and give her an experience that makes her feel. But it's not doing much for my own fulfillment. I just want to have social interactions with women that aren't boring to me. It's very boring when I am the only one putting out personality and energy into it. Men who initiate often do so because we are full of life and energy and desire, we aren't lazy, and we put work in to make positive th…

Another female bringing sex into a post that was not at all about sex. What is that about? You don't want to interact with any man or go on any date unless it's going to lead to sex?

The only people I see that keep bringing up men only wanting sex on this post is females. This goes back to culturally implied assumptions and stereotypes, kind of proving the point of my post.

You're homing in on something interesting here. It sounds like you're saying that men who do not establish themselves in a community are naturally and inherently not desirable for women. Which is an meaningful takeaway for me if it's true because I am constantly traveling and not established in literally any community except at work, which... it's the construction industry, 100% male in my case. Before that it was the army, so I've been in this kind of situation for a while. So, tell me if you t…

As a man I definitely want to get married to a good woman, even though it's very difficult to find. Mainly because I want to have a faithful companion when I'm 75 who has shared decades of life experience with me. You're right about the "age" we live in but it's not just the age, it's the place. It's a cultural effect in lot of modernized countries and it makes me think the best chances for finding a good wife is going to be in some rural third world village that is grounded and in touch with fa…

You're assuming all social interactions happen within established social groups. As a man who constantly travels for work, "social groups" are not even relevant to my situation.

For what it's worth, I was a Chad in high school, 6 pack and chiseled jaw and confidence to move mountains, tried to attract a cute nerdy girl that was very into anime. I failed, but just a couple weeks later she ended up dating my shy scruffy skinny nerdy friend that was very much into anime

Why are you assuming "hunting for sex"? I said meaningful relationships. You are completely projecting and/or stereotyping. If you haven't already found "the one" among the men you already know, why wouldn't you want to find out if there is potential with a stranger? Where is this automatic bias against anyone you don't already know coming from? This seems like your default if you don't know about someone is to assume negativity. The problem is not that you aren't putting effort into interaction…

I definitely care a lot about compatibility and rapport. But how are you supposed to know anything about whether you are compatible and have rapport unless you start spending time together? Physical attractiveness seems like a logical starting point. First you like how each other look, and that gives a little bit of promise that you COULD be compatible, so you look for common interests, the next quickest thing you can discover. Boom, you have common interests, so now it's a question of whether y…

Okay, but doesn't that seem pretty... lame on the part of women? You're saying by their nature women just aren't interested in putting any effort into finding a meaningful, passionate relationship? There is arguably nothing more valuable in life than meaningful relationships, and they just... can't be bothered? Only interested in the entertainment? I was giving them the benefit of the doubt that it is a culturally imposed attitude, but your take makes women sound way more inferior as people who …

I’m actually fairly outgoing and have no problem initiating, smiling, being open, expressing curiosity, etc. But I’m not an attention seeker, and I don’t enjoy going around making jokes and trying to be funny. It’s the expectation to initiate by demonstrating a ton of value that grinds my gears, the sense that its a one way street and I’m expected to perform well enough to prove myself for the attention of a woman. In my perfect world, I could just walk up to a woman that looks attractive, tell …

That would require that you have “groups of friends”, a job where there are women around, and lots of time for things to develop naturally, none of which is the case for me. I spend all my days traveling for work and moving constantly. My only options for dating are approaching strangers and tinder. And it has to progress as quickly as possible if I want it to go anywhere because I work 80 hours a week and I’m always going to move again soon, and I like my job.
