It really just needs to be more finite. Like a max cap of 1-2 years, and it should slowly reduce after a certain period. Alimony isn't supposed to let you just sit around doing nothing, it's to help you get situated in a new place, not provide for the long term. Maybe handle it just like unemployment.

If they didn't overbook, there would be numerous empty seats every flight due to people canceling flights, being delayed on a connecting flight, and just regular scheduling changes. 911 might be overkill but if that were me, I'd for sure be calling the cops, with a person laying blame like that. Not to mention most states have a minimum dollar amount of damages that have to be reported. Could easily be in the thousands for damages, who knows what the curb hit did to his axle, wheel, etc.

Most phones have the camera positioned near the top of the camera when held in portrait orientation. Holding phones sideways can put the lens in a weird position. Regular cameras have a more centrally located lens, making orientation less of an issue.

My wife had similar problems at work birthday party lunches. She would eat a small meal, but everyone else orders steaks, appetizers, dessert, the works, then some idiot wants to just split it evenly, or worse, have everyone look at the bill, toss some money at it and leave the last person to make up any shorted difference.
