If a 12 year-old had raped somebody, would you still be saying they weren't at fault?

Listen, I agree with you, and personally I think she's lying. I was merely pointing out to murrayneill that the burden of proof is not on the defense.

She doesn't need no prove without a reasonable doubt that she had no choice, the prosecution has to prove without a reasonable doubt that she did. While it's probably quite likely that she did have a choice, it would be very difficult to prove.

This is absolutely true. The mother of my boyfriend's daughter will often call and ask for her child support early. He'll ask if his daughter needs something, and she'll just right out and say no, but I want to go out.... It's ridiculous how little accountability there is.

I disagree. It says that he has a family of his own, making the two situations comparable. Her family just happens to be younger than his. I would say that this is more of a case of the social connotations tied to pregnancy than actual natural inequality.

I don't think there's any harm in bringing it up. Do you already have children? I assume you've been on birth control for most if not all of the relationship. I wouldn't advise guilting him into anything, but if the birth control burden has been on you thus far, I'd say it's fair of you to ask him to at least consider it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
