Why Didn't people who make false rape claims get slammed with the punishment of what their rapist would have gotten?

Why does nobody understand that validating this point also validates "she's hot, so there's no way you didn't enjoy it"?

I think one of the saddest parts about all of this is that of all the papers that covered part 2 of this story, the Toronto Sun is about the only one that called it out properly. The others seemed to totally beat around the bush that there were false accusations etc

I really don't understand why people still circumcise their boys... Why ruin somebody's body just because you think they'll be too dumb to know to wash their dick? It's really not that difficult...

I guess it's a smart strategy... Boost up karma, then go full dumb to make your stupidity seem more legitimate. I try to use my karma to keep myself in check. Sure, sometimes I play devils advocate, or do some dumb shit for the lulz... But generally I try to remember that I'm kind of a senior here and should be acting as an ambassador of sorts.

Why not go with a more equal term like "toxic personality"? I don't get why gender ever had to be part of the saying in the first place

What the fuck is she on? She took a damn hiatus, and she's crying because she didn't make as much money... This is what fucking happens when you're a one-person-show and you stop working. Dafuq was she expecting?

I've never understood how people can say cutting off skin from a penis is not genital mutilation. Would they approve of chopping off fingertips? I mean, consider how much dirt and grime gets trapped under nails. Sure you can clean under them, but you can clean under the foreskin as well...

There's a good chance the daughter made the comment. It's a fair statement from the kid. Unfortunately the mom also decided to act like a kid and make the tweet as if the all-male staff was a bad thing. Fortunately, some guy saw the comment and was able to make a solid, snarky reply to it.
/r/MensRights21/04/18 04:41 AM

Yes, it's almost as if it's a twitter post... Where the top tweet is a response to the quoted tweet in the frame at the bottom. It's almost like this guy was making a sarcastic comment to point out it how ridiculous the person he replied to sounded.

You're a fucking twit if you don't think for a second that you'd contemplate doing the same thing after reaching your breaking time. It takes a LOT to be able to be a caretaker for someone. Especially for the rest of your life. I'm not saying the guy isn't in a bad spot, but is being stuck in a spot being cared for by somebody that can't physically or mentally handle it any more be any better? I doubt it.

That's fair. If I were in the position and my wife left me, I'd be upset but underwriting. Maybe because I have a good family and know I wouldn't be left high and dry.
/r/MensRights19/04/18 10:21 PM
4

Absolutely agree. Lots of quickfire repsonses in here without actually taking the time to consider how life changing this is. The amount that a person would have to give up is phenomenal. A lot of people in here seem to think she'd be able to drop everything to care for herself and him... And somehow still be able to bring in enough money for them. They're also forgetting just how long a good marriage should last. A lifetime of that would be incredibly taxing on anybody. And to do it without a s…

When is she supposed to find time to work and bring in money?
/r/MensRights19/04/18 10:01 PM
6

Just remember you'd be doing this with very little money, as you'd have to quit your job and live on whatever assistance is out there.
/r/MensRights19/04/18 09:59 PM
5

So you're telling me that you'd be willing to quit your job, and drop everything to take care of your wife for the rest of your lives to do absolutely everything for her? Feed her, clothe her, bathe her, help her in the bathroom, etc. There is no longer a her, or an is. Just a you. That's a huge commitment that I don't think people consider when getting married. It sucks for everybody in that situation, and I don't think there are nearly as many strong and commited people out there as they think…
/r/MensRights19/04/18 09:58 PM

Not only is he no longer able to contribute, but now she has to contribute for her, them, and him, and for the rest of their lives. I would bet a lot of money that 90% of the peope in here wouldn't be able to handle this... And they probably wouldn't last even close to three years
/r/MensRights19/04/18 09:52 PM
3

The thanks he got was her being with him for three years trying to make it work. Three years of her having to potentially give up everything - including her job. Three years of having to feed him hydrate him. Three years of having to bathe him. Three years of having to help him in the bathroom. Three years of dropping everything to help him. Could you handle all that? And for the rest of your life? There's an awful lot of armchair warrioring going on in here, and it's fucking dumb.
/r/MensRights19/04/18 09:50 PM
3

So you're saying that if your wife got beat to that level, that you would spend potentially 50+, years doing everything for her? I find that hard to believe. I don't think anybody in here understands the amount of work and stress involved in having to care for somebody that can't do anything on their own.
/r/MensRights19/04/18 09:47 PM
3

How long would it take him to dump her in that state? It's a life-changing commitment to have to tend to somebody in his state. Neither of them went into the relationship expecting to have to care for the other like that, and for that long.
/r/MensRights19/04/18 09:46 PM
5

Agreed. She stayed with him for three years. It sounds like she tried her best to make it work.
/r/MensRights19/04/18 09:43 PM
5

What's with the circlejerk in here? I can empath with her in this situation. That's a LOT of weight to have to take on. While I understand the contractual obligation of "til death due us part" how many if us would be able to spend 50 years with a wife in that state? You'd quite possibly have to quit your job. you'd have to drop everything all the time to tend to your spouse your social life would be almost nonexistent your days would be long and tiring your sleep would be very broken This woman …

When she gets into the business world, she gets to wear skirts while we have to wear pants. Fuck dress codes.
/r/MensRights03/04/18 04:31 PM

I'm 100% against dress codes. In the office, women get to wear skirts and dresses in the heat of the summer, meanwhile men get to wear... pants... and only pants. Why not just wear what we're comfortable in? As long as it doesn't have a targeted attack of a slogan written on it, why should I care? I 100% agree with the sign in this picture... though the 2nd paragraph is kind of overkill and should teeter more on using/teaching common fucking sense.

All subs can have shitty posts, but when the shitty posts are literally the top all-time posts, it doesn't look so good. When /r/incels died, they made /r/braincels (which really should be lackOFbraincels)... but maybe some of them branched off to the MGTOW sub? Who knows
/r/MensRights27/03/18 07:53 PM

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it sounds like they're talking about some opinionated articles? Her wording is absolute shit, but I think if they're holding open discussions and opinions maybe it is good to ensure that each gender/race is equally weighted in the opinion to try to balance out bias. But then again, maybe I'm just giving them too much credit.

it's only dumb if you assume that the interests of BLM are the interests of the black community Very fair point. I have a feeling there are very few people in BLM that are actually getting paid, so it's kind of a brilliant snowball they've created.

I'm saying, you don't shut the one person up that's actually on your side. Like, why the hell would anybody even think that would be a good idea? Why not hold their own assembly if they wanted to get their message out?

I'm almost certain that the Sanders rally they gagged was during the primaries.
/r/MensRights02/11/17 10:12 PM

BLM also rallied in favour of Clinton despite the amount of punishment the Clintons already put on the black community. Then, they fucking took over a Bernie rally to run on about shit that Bernie probably would have covered in a far better way. They literally gagged the one guy that had their backs to take sides with their enemy. Dummies gonna dumb.

No. A man wouldn't write a book about something like this. I don't think men give a shit if they're interrupted. If somebody tries to stop them to explain something they already know, they'll just speak up to tell the other person they're already affluent. Then they can both have a topical conversation. Actually, I believe this is the way most sane people would act. Somebody looking for trouble, though, would go out of their way to create problems and the write a book about the problems that the…

I like how she had to write an entire book called "men explain things to me". Whereas a man would spend a few minutes breaking down a complex idea to make sure his audience understands, she wrote an entire fucking book to break down some misinterpreted bullshit to get her point across.

Shit, yeah... somehow I was thinking about a situation where the couple is together, and she is in the role of stay-at-home mom while the father is at work. Not in the case of "break up with the guy, take the kids, and reap the free money to use 100% on myself" Sorry for being a doofus.

Sorry, I'm not sure that I understand. I'm not at all in favour of the batshit insane "feminism" that exists today, but I think being a family comes down to trying to balance out workloads. I work in an office for a paycheque while my wife stays at home with the kids. My money goes toward just about everything, with the only extra money being from baby bonus. I see nothing wrong with this, as the alternative would be for us both to work and somebody to be paying for childcare. In this case, it c…

Yup... I had hopes for this sub when I found it... turns out it is pretty much on point with feminism, only with men arguing for men to be superior to women. Not so much about equality. Any idea if there is a sub dedicated to actually standing up for men while not being totally biased about actual struggles that women have to deal with? Because anybody that feels being a mom isn't is an easy task must not be a parent at all. I have no problem at all sharing my income with my wife. It means she g…

Raising children really isn't a walk in the park, though - especially if you're taking on the role of a single parent. The entire system is fucked. Childcare is expensive AF and hard to find. If you can't find a job paying more than minimum wage, you're almost better off living on the system. I think a lot of things need to be reworked both on a social assistance level, and a family court level. Saying that raising a child isn't a chore is definitely an unfair statement.
