ive heard that cats have really good boundaries so most people who not just don’t like cats, but HATE them, are people who have trouble with the concept of consent

the idea of a “real man” is very patriarchal. it goes along with the overvaluing of men in most cultures. the messaging is: men are superior and they not only have to be born male to fit into this category, they also have to follow a lot of rules to remain in the dominant class. this is why many cultures count gay men as less male but don’t count lesbians as less female. the constant suppressing of their emotions or the message that the only negative emotion they can show is anger are also part …

my only gripe with this is that my current last name is already my fathers last name, and i’ll certainly like any man i choose to marry more than my father. i’ve thought about changing my last name to my moms maiden name, but even that is just technically her dads last name. ugh patriarchy

yes. this. i’ve thought a lot about how if men truly wanted to return to their humanity, they would have to face not only their own emotions that they have neglected, but ALSO the emotions of others they neglected, specifically women. in order for men to release toxic masculinity they would have to weep for all the women they have dehumanized and degraded, truly feel how awful they’ve been. this is something that is so criminally undiscussed in libfem circles. oh the poor men who suppress their …

wow, that is a really good point. i knew religion was invented for controlling people and it’s very patriarchal, but men literally invented religion so they could make a man the creator. i am shocked over and over again at how deep the cultural misogyny runs

wow this is rlly good. i often think that many of the things that wise men say that take them years of meditation and study are just things that women know innately and never NEED to say. the things that men in my life think are so profound are usually the things myself and the other women in my life already get intuitively

I'm torn because I feel kinda weird about it too but after listening to the podcast from this week I realized how much women get gaslighted out of having a sexual/physical preference for men while men celebrate and congratulate each other for their own sexual preferences. just think of all the movies where the mediocre guy gets the beautiful woman. idk if I heard it on this sub or tiktok but someone said that women are taught to believe that our sexuality is simply being sexualized. liberal femi…

I love this user on tiktok, all her views are very focused on true women's liberation and she rejects a lot of libfem ideology.

this is so real!! I've been realizing this recently too. when I look at the real life women around me, they're nothing like female characters in media. also, isn't it funny that male characters written by women are more likable than real men whereas female characters written by men are less likable than real women? lol

the laugh track🤢literally cueing people to laugh at the guy like his misogyny is cute🤮this is how media brainwashes us into thinking this type of behavior is cute and normal and harmless. i would love to see a show with a laugh track every time a man gets taken advantage of

I loved the one line about saying FDS doesn't do anything against the patriarchy is like saying soup kitchens don't solve homelessness. for real, this sub is so valuable to women

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
