17 year old has sex with 21 year old, it's fine because this 4 year idea. 17 year old has sex with 22 year old, it's not fine because 17 year old isn't intelligent enough to understand the consequences of sex. This is literally the argument in how it goes. How does that same 17 year old somehow lose the intelligence to understand a scenario when the age of the other changes? The answer is they don't, it's a pointless discrimination that achieves nothing.

Bullshit. Statutory rape is about ageism. Some people in some places will kill or imprison certain parties involved if people of different religions or skin colors are caught having sex. This follows the same mentality. The implication that when you reach a certain age that suddenly you are capable and fully aware of how various ideas work and how to be profecient in them is absurd. Humans learn through experience and certain types of education, not through being alive a specific number of years…

The bottom line is the label. The label itself, 'mens rights' implies the same thing as 'feminism', and less intelligent people may take leaps of imagination with it and assume it means that they strive for an advantage over another. The solution is extremely simple, call it equality for all. I am part of the 'equality for all' movement, nobody can assume it means anything other than exactly what the phrase states.
