Because male circumcision is still considered acceptable in the US?

Female circumcision is huge in Middle Eastern and African societies. As is male circumsicion, what's your point? The difference is female circumsion is considered barbaric and male circumcision is considered "clean" and attractive. Can you seriously not see the double standard here?

You misunderstood my comment. Women are not shamed to the extent that being routinely genitally mutilated at birth is socially acceptable. Men are.

All I said was both women and men are shamed. Yet only men routinley undergo surgery at birth to make their genitals socially acceptable.

Yes... But there are vagina tightening surgeries And these are the norm and routinely carried out at birth to the vast majority of girls, right? I'm not talking about "shame" Fuck that, own your own feelings don't blame them on society. I'd take feeling shame over having part of my dick cut off. I can rationalise my shameful feelings, get therapy maybe. It's fixable. You know what's not fixable?

You've missed my point entirely. You may feel societal pressure to hate your genitals, but that in no way compares to the huge societal pressure that has caused a general consensus that genitally mutilating a new born baby, of any gender, is in any way acceptable.

Being told bad things is a bit different to literally having part of your body sliced off at birth. If men were "brainwashed" into thinking their foreskin was gross and decided to have it removed once they reach the age of consent, that's their business. Despite the brainwashing, I don't see many girls opting for radical vagina/vulva modifications in adulthood. You can decide to believe your vagina is gross or not. You can't decide to regrow your foreskin.
