It’s pretty common (/not considered weird) among young people in nyc

I took that to mean online approaching, but I’m describing approaching on the street and asking to follow you.

That's underweight for a lot of heights

Young people do approach by asking if you're on insta. It's a low-pressure win-win.

Or because a lot of men dedicate their lives to video games and porn instead of a fulfilling life and can’t/won’t provide and protect yet still expect women to act like their mommies... just look at r/relationships

Not true, it’s easier for males to lose weight and put on muscle. Men also tend to overestimate the amount of muscle that most women actually prefer. Meanwhile the proportions which the most popular women in the media/on the internet have are literally impossible to achieve short of surgery, which many aren’t able or willing to undergo. On top of that, even the “ideal” women heavily edit their photos because not even they look like that in real life.

I am one as well. I think the onus is on the man on a first meeting to make a woman comfortable by being conscious of avoiding doing or saying anything that could put doubts in her mind as to whether she’s safe around him.

We’re all human and want love. It’s not necessarily that much easier for people with more options to find a compatible partner, because generally people are usually going to be equally as picky as their looksmatches are, with variable criteria. But yeah. What you are saying is why I don’t agree to go out with someone until they’ve demonstrated persistence and potential to simp. IMO there’s no point getting with someone hot unless they find me equally or more hot. That’s essential to sexual chemi…

Men make their mind up pretty easily about what “zone” to put someone in. Through most of history they had to make snap judgements on who to wife up based on a small amount of information. You’re right however that after the “cupcaking” stage it can hard to keep someone around when you have mental illness lol.

There’s more to a hedonistic experience than strictly what you’re consuming. By your logic if the food tasted good at the moment of consumption it doesn’t matter if you get food poisoning and vomit immediately after. It’s not out of this world to prefer to maintain a decent rapport with someone you shared a private activity with.

It’s women’s biological and hormonal imperative to have their own baby and bond with it. Telling them they’re picky or dumb for not adopting a three year old is like telling a man the same for not valuing a butterface or sex doll.

It would be easy to get into women’s pants. It doesn’t take much to make someone feel uniquely seen. Most males just aren’t socialized to be simultaneously good listeners and entertaining company.

So I can't figure out how to quote on my device but: "They tend to be picky" - I said average women, not the ones you notice for being hot. "Men only gain sex from a LTR" - in addition to emotional support and chores
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/20 03:06 AM
1

Fair enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/10/20 02:49 AM
4

And that’s beside the point whether they are losers on a certain metric. It was in response to whether the average woman is picky. More specifically, the people I know in LTRs, the women have more to offer and I can’t even think of any woman I know who is happy in a relationship. Men gain more from an LTR but modern society is set up such that men with any one thing going for them have the option to gate keep relationships and the onus is on women to “keep a man.”

Women are socialized to be more patient and agreeable.

I see women being roasted on the internet for a laundry list but irl I see women settling for losers. Maybe something to do with the fact that in my city there is a gender imbalance in favor of men.

Really? Cause a good portion of posts on r/relationships are from women whose men don’t work, don’t do chores, don’t fuck, and just sit around playing video games while the woman provides. With context markers of typical white millennials.

Maybe we’re operating on different definitions. I put out on the second or third date but only reach that point with someone who invested some effort into getting to know me and spending at least 60-100 per date without grimacing. And a lot of men will try suggesting a low effort date but turn around real quick when you say it’s not up to your standards, and later confess that the more attracted they are, the more they’re willing to invest/put up with. Per studies, men are more likely to overestimate their attractiveness as well as a particular woman’s attraction to them. As approachers, it’s to their advantage in the numbers game.

To some extent. I take precautions around being safe from strange men. But on a visceral level, deviancy is more likely to make me laugh than feel disgusted. It’s probably why I chose to do sex work. If most women felt the same way, it wouldn’t pay more than other entry-level work.

Nah. In NYC women usually look better than their men. Women outnumber men and they come from all over the world to work in industries where aesthetics matter. Meanwhile ugly men can get clout for being creative, smart or popular.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/20 08:07 PM

What makes it so? Are the men scarce? I believe women outnumber men in the Utah Mormon community, and they have the nation’s highest rates of plastic surgery.

They already do, in competitive cities.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/20 03:56 PM

But most women aren’t spinsters. So a lot of them must be open to someone who isn’t a looker. Maybe you believe AWALT or something and they’re all secretly faking love, but there aren’t enough hot men to go around and it isn’t as necessary for men to have attractive secondary sex characteristics in order to be a desirable mate for pair-bonding. Sorry it was the middle of the night and I didn’t fully articulate what I meant.

Yup. It’s a turnoff to men with options. If a woman makes herself too available he starts to doubt her value and thinks it seems too good to be true so there must be something “off” about her.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/20 02:33 AM

Of course. If it was any other two demographic groups, the way men treat women on average and pose a danger to us would be grounds for mass enmity.

Female celebrities are probably very selective. Why would they have casual sex with some rando who might stalk them, when they can get sex + commitment from the most famous or rich men on the planet? Male celebrities see groupies as a perk of fame. Women throw themselves at a male celebrity and it doesn’t dent his reputation to sleep around. It’s even expected.

Not really. Putting a high price on it meant that when it’s not business I have to actually be into him. Like there’s got to be a reason. Like someone else in this thread pointed out, regular promiscuous women will do it just for fun or because someone looks good. And they might again just for fun.

Yeah the interviewing is a good strategy. Unfortunately most people don’t have time to make meeting a lot of people a priority and get either burned out or attached too soon to a less than ideal match. Back in the day they had public service announcements encouraging people to date broadly and not get too serious with any one person, to avoid the social fallout of having sex out of wedlock. You’d be surprised what people tell you when they feel trust and comfort. And having higher standards for a relationship than for casual sex is a common feature of people with a high count. The men with most options are filthy rich businessmen and entertainers. They tend to no have problem wifing up women who have been around in their social circles. Yeah let’s face it, in today’s world the best protection is having resources to have a safe place to live, safe way to commute to a safe location, and a cushion for emergencies. Most women are hardwired to like a bigger dude but the real world utility of his size is from the status it gets him. You can’t just have him walk around being your bodyguard 24/7 and even if you did, someone with more resources could still prey on you both.

A man doesn’t have to verbally threaten you in order for his actions to be a threat. If someone is following you, you don’t owe him any benefit of the doubt. The high rates of men who escalate to stalking and violence is statistical fact which women also possess palpable knowledge of. Your willful obstinance about this reality only suggests that you don’t listen to or respect women.

I’ve never dated someone bi but if I were to I don’t think I would mind him sleeping with men. What’s there to threaten me? I can’t provide him with the same thing a man can. Men who like men have high rates of casual sex so if he has a libidinal interest in that but still wants to be in a relationship with a woman, I’m not going to be worrying that he would replace me with a man. You’re speaking as if every crime gets reported. The odds are very high that if you ask the women in your life, many of them have stories of being aggressed or feeling threatened by a strange man and have logical reasons for not reporting.

Men care because they’re hardwired with mate guarding paranoia. The men who are consciously concerned about this a lot also act on other paranoias. I’m not interested in that type of man, and I don’t care about his count. An ex of mine had a high count and liked high count women as well. His logic was that they are more sexual, and if she chooses him having had variety then it’s a confidence boost in his abilities. What I do care about is whether he has ever cheated, whether he has a wandering e…

Investing in friendships is the best way to meet your social needs. Investing in hobbies and passions is the best way to meet other needs, and self development also brings a higher calibre of person to you for a relationship.

Well I do have a high libido but that doesn’t correlate in my case with being able to get physical pleasure from sex automatically. I like relationships but I wouldn’t be compatible for one with most people. I was also a sex worker.

People should have sex when and if they want to. I don’t get why the manosphere obsesses so much over this. N-count is not even something which every couple asks each other. “How quickly did you have sex with others compared to me?” Isn’t something which anyone ever asks each other. If you ask that in real life it would get shut down pretty quickly unless the person feels really comfortable and close with you, and by the time you get to that point it will be irrelevant.

Yeah because they don’t have as many orbiters, so you can stand out and stick in her mind by being stimulating to interact with for example funny, spontaneous, a good listener, etc. Plus as a man, power, ambition and ability to obtain resources enhance your attractiveness. Women don’t benefit from this if they have those traits. It’s not hard to find very attractive women coupled with ugly men, either.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/20 03:02 AM

Yeah but that’s just pictures online. In real life, men have a narrower taste in dating partners than they do in porn. And in real life, women regularly fall in love with average looking dudes who don’t have to keep up with as many rules to societal approval of their gender conformity as their partners do.

What would be the full analogy about porn and hookers exactly? Anyway, a woman who puts herself out there with suggestive pictures to get lots of followers probably already has an idea of her attractiveness, and whoever she ends up with is going to be into her having followers, so I really don’t see how it has to cause a problem for any third parties.

Other way round bro, it’s a male cope that they get more attractive. If a man figures out how to dress well and make good money by the time he’s 40 he will have better prospects, but women will never have a raw physical attraction en masse to older men the way men do to younger women. And it’s not something I tell myself, people tell me. Guys 10 years younger than me get shocked I’m not their age and older men assume I’m in college or even high school even though I’m over 30. /r/PurplePillDebate20/07/20 05:38 PM

Yeah it’s silly but it’s believable enough for them to use it repeatedly. My point was that it’s accepted in popular culture that a woman seems more approachable if she gives certain cues. The makeover for the women in these movies isn’t her looks it’s a boost in girl game to get what she wants from the world with less frustration. And female rivalries/hierarchies in pop culture are often about who’s on top of girl game =being glamorous and popular, which makes an It Girl.

You could just as easily say that about getting catcalled/checked out/ cold approached irl by men without serious intentions. I don’t know about that. I feel like this applies mostly in places like rural/suburban America where the average person is overweight if not obese. In a city or region where there are enough people at a normal BMI to choose between, men will prioritize features, body shape and coloring with only a minority with a fetish for people below or above a normal BMI paying importance to weight. In fact across all cultures men have been found to notice waistline and waist-to-hip ratio first.

Yeah no this is way overblown. First of all women that age aren’t “optimizing for short term relationships” but their brain is still developing and they don’t have enough experience making a long term adult relationship work through thick and thin. You realize that not all difficulties in life are related to getting sex, and so even if a woman can get sex easily, her life isn’t automatically easy? To me life on easy mode would mean: Being able to go anywhere freely at any time of day or night like a large strong man can without worrying about strangers hurting or harassing him. Speaking up in groups/public and being listened to like a man. Having a head start from generational wealth. Just for starters.

You can just say a simple greeting and then the ones who you especially fit a fantasy or archetype for will reply quickly and diligently, but most end up pestering you with small talk instead of saying anything stimulating to set them apart. Haha gray sweats do something to a lady’s heart. I actually like them, unlike the running shorts. Seeing some random dude’s pale hairy thighs is often visual TMI. The guys in them usually aren’t hot and even if they were, female sexuality tends towards wanting some contextual buildup in order to desire a guy’s body. Gray sweats though have a bit of mystery.

And furthermore as I assume red pill dudes have self respect and admiration as a primary goal, it's pathetic how shortsighted they are about the trajectory of their own development. Its not about sex, it's about the cognitive dissonance of someone doing something they claim harms the other party.

Those arent good analogies because your examples are inanimate. More apt would be to ask if a thief or con artist is excused from immorality just because the mark gave him an opportunity.

I think their point still stands, even if the woman is responsible for her own decisions, it would still be immoral and callous for the man to engage with her in a way he equates with damaging her.

Women don’t need men anymore in order to have nice things. It’s not like materialistic women can’t just make their own money and buy their own things. So these theories have huge gaps of accounting for why women still want men’s company.

I think it’s common among people who are naturally flirtatious, odds are they aren’t consciously doing it. Sure there are probably character differences but not necessarily the ones you outlined. High n-count women may be more warm, and more affectionate, and just not finding the man to love them. Or not attractive. Low n-count may be devoted, or just quick to lock down a dude to manipulate. High n-count of either gender may be programmed to seek novelty, or validation, or have a high sex drive. Low n-count may be faithful, or unconfident, or stubborn. There's really a million variables.

If the child wants to reconnect, you should at least take enough responsibility to give them closure if nothing else. Deadbeat moms may garner more sympathy because carrying and giving birth to an unwanted child may be traumatic in a way that it isn't for the man whose physical involvement was limited to busting a nut.

Ok.... This is one reason that I'm purple pill as opposed to blue pill and not a feminist: I think feminism in the last 2 decades in the West has done little to advance female comfort and power, especially in dating. Fuckbois are a symptom of the changes in society tied to feminism and also the economy. Why I'm not Red Pill? Well, for starters, I don't think the Red Pill is training men to womanize. Womanizing has always existed and has always been the domain of "Chads" as you like to call them.…

This has nothing to do with feminine imperative. And what does it matter in the first place? A man is still viewed positively if he can provide for multiple children. Chances are if he's having kids here and there then that activity is accepted by his social set. Divorce is more common nowadays, but it's also more expensive to provide for a family nowadays and more expensive to pay child support than to be in a family.

For women a huge aphrodisiac is feeling desired. Of course there is a market for male to female sex work, but it's not structured in the same way as female to male bang-and-go sex work. Sex tourism: If you can afford an extended stay somewhere, you can indulge in a simulated fling away from the judging eyes of anyone you know In Japan you can go to a club where you pay a man to sit with you and be your friend; hire a man to cry with you, etc; a side effect of their sex industry where everything …

Yeah, no. If you want to cheat you will always find a way to rationalize. But teaching someone a lesson based on something they didn't even do to you, is twisted and if you weren't a cheater before and didn't plan to be, is at best reasoning clouded by sentiments.

Yes. Having had sex with men ranging from 18 to 60, there has been a trend that the older ones like lots of foreplay, kissing, sweet talk, eating pussy... Younger ones like more suggestive foreplay while your clothes are still on but then want you to be ready for penetration, like multiple positions, novel positions, dirty talk, cumming on different parts of your body, and discussing or watching porn together. Most of them pull out to cum somewhere else.

I would think it does. Men don't mind if their girlfriend isn't rich, but I imagine that banging a rich chick would score at least novelty points, and that many people might have an idea of rich chicks being more selective or hard to get.

How often will a man who is sexually attractive and has game fuck someone he just met? Often. How/ who are the women? Of course it's a subset of women who are open to this, primarily in subcultures and if the definition of subculture is broadened to include women who habitually engage in some sort of nightlife or festival-going.

In the internet age, a lot of sex workers are self-employed. Even women who work at an agency or for a pimp, the reality is extremely different from what you describe. For centuries philosophers have debated the veracity of romantic love, actually without even needing to make it about males vs females or use terms like incels. That's a bold assertion; it's not like I made any sweeping statements about the adoption industry as a whole. At the same time it is difficult to generalize a pattern considering that there is a broad range of fetishes that can turn people on and also a broad range of outlets people can and do employ besides sexual dominance, to make themselves feel more in control or powerful. If I have correctly parsed your essay then you are asserting that you see Blue Pill thought as pervading all human spheres and that BDSM is an arena where a man can reclaim his sense of sexual…

Physical attraction is more important than his economic status, however how fit his body is, isn't a big factor for me. I like me some chubby guys too.

I don't think that your anecdotal experiences are enough proof of a real trend - but if you are asking why it's more common for women to complain about men being cheap than the other way around, well the way gender roles are set up it's one of the ways historically that a man can demonstrate early on whether he has serious intentions toward a woman. And whether he is doing well enough in life to have disposable resources. Women meanwhile are judged on a different set of expectations to show that…

If there is a quantifiable statistic on this I'm not sure what it could even serve for. I would pay more attention in this area to whether the more experienced person is a better lover because of it, whether they have issues being satisfied without sexual novelty, and which of the couple tends towards jealousy.

The only thing I was addressing was whether women would have sex in order to brag about it. As you're so well informed, you must know that to be vocal as woman about your promiscuity is to invite mostly negative judgements.

No. We're not living in an age where exposure and conversion to ideologies with the result of huge morality shifts is really going on. Even if among us walk some feminists and some islamists, they are not exactly virally infecting anyone to join their cause in large numbers. And people who see them as a massive threat usually are people who themselves have an unusual focus on interpreting the world in terms of ideology, and are being pulled into a fringe ideological community. A majority of peop…

If we're assuming a culture where men are the pursuers and women have a lower sex drive and more reasons to be cautious about who they get involved with. Then for bragging rights she only needs him to pursue her. How would going and having sex with him augment the brag at all.

I mean you should pursue a relationship with someone on the basis that you enjoy their company and personality and want it to feature more in your life and feel compelled to contribute to their happiness. If that's not the case then you don't need to commit to them. I don't see any reason to make these decisions based on obsessions over what activities someone shared with other people in the past and speculating on what other people think of them. Also, if the highest value you think a woman can…

Yes, there is a rush to being desired or feeling sexually powerful. But to enjoy your own sensuality you also have to combat constant and pervasive messages that if you let yourself enjoy that then you are a trashy immodest slut or otherwise having characteristics that it's not proper to have. And that those kinds of pleasure are only for women who are photogenically physically ideal who if they are going to be uninhibited then should make it look like a fantastic porno.

I honestly feel that if a worldview makes someone feel better about their place in the world because of how they can use it to interpret things, they don't even need good results to stay dedicated. From what I've seen online I picture the average redpiller as someone who is prepared to consider it a groundbreaking milestone if they interact with a hot woman while "holding frame" and she doesn't react negatively. And that he could consider themselves a success if he is able to have some casual se…

Well I'm not a man, but I have often noticed women with certain status markers being treated as attractive and getting high status men to date her. For instance a woman whose face is nothing special, but if she takes decent care of her hair and body and decorates herself with a personal style that's "tasteful" or "classy." And is attached to social circles with wealth and prominent positioning in some industry, especially if in arts or media. Then she will outwardly live the life and receive the…

Yes, at least in a superficial level of what matters to me in the dating market. A lot of young men today have clothing styles, posture and gait, even voices that seem effeminate to me. Which makes the pool of desirable mates smaller. And then of course it's also not easy to find a partner who acts in a masculine role in terms of chivalry, being protective, taking the lead, picking up the tab when dating in public, etc.

Some of y'all put way too much thought into this kind of thing. Many a woman also due to laziness remains in a stasis void of trajectory where she invests time, care, finances, and that most valuable flower of all - her youth - in a man who provides negative value and returns even on the metrics which supposedly matter to her. Out of inertia and fear of the unknown.

First of all there's the question of whether you can assume a huge swath of people will feel, think and act in such generalized and essentialized patterns even if they share a common biological set of characteristics and tools. Secondly, don't women fall in love instantaneously with their offspring and never fall out of love?

You start by saying there are myriad reasons for this particular phenomenon and end by making abbreviated statements which are hard to parse considering you treat each point as if it were a known phenom in its own right. I am too tired to get into this fully right now but your #5 is especially obscure. Black history in the US is yes very complex as you said yourself but it doesn't take an insider to note that men proving their status among other men is a HUGE deal in the current culture. Yet you…

Well OP asked if sex in general is a reward, no time frame specified. And your response to that seemed cynical. You literally said if a woman wants to have sex with you it's either because of your looks or something you're recompensing her. Little room for human feelings and attachments in that reduction.

That's awesome. My vague theory has been that the average male moviegoer is too averse to seeing a nude guy. I have actually been seeing it more lately, which is awesome. Now if only more porn showed the guy's body and what he's doing rather than point of view shots with just his dick.

Hold a conversation while being charming and not treating me like I'm dumb. Act interested in me mentally, not just physically. Interact long enough to reveal whether he has any messed up attitudes. Not give any indication of being a player or seeking conquests. Make me laugh. Be good at flirting, kissing and physical touch without getting pushy or verbalizi…

I suspect that women subconsciously measure their value by their ability to retain a man. It's not that complicated... women are wired to feel affectionate during sex (under certain conditions) and may want it to lead to more than a man who can easily separate sex from feelings

There always have been and will be ways for humans to emphasize their secondary sex characteristics, in the US today makeup happens to be widely affordable and is always getting more hi-tech. If you consider this profound I wouldn't just isolate makeup, as others have mentioned it is only one tool in an arsenal of presentation options which together can be employed to package ourselves as having attractive features as well as the energy, time and resources to maintain them. Men can shape their f…
