I'm not OP, but you should always learn new skills. E.g. do some desktop apps, mobile apps, read up on cryptography. Even better if you can find some freelance work on the side and get a nice portfolio. Of course also try to have fun while doing those. Note that depending on your employment contract, any work you do while employed may belong to your employer though

Reading his story reminded me of the fact that I had to deal with my gf and her best friends. Even though I was on good terms with them, it was still a pain... I highly doubt I will ever date again and this is just one of the reasons why.

Same, I couldn't be myself, have to deal with her friends, she doesn't really understand my struggles as a man, etc. It feels like the love was very conditional. Not sure why that made me feel lonely, but so much better single with no obligations

It's strange but I've never really felt lonely when I'm single. The only times I felt lonely were during relationships and dates.

After avoiding sugar in food, you may find that you start to dislike sugary stuff (especially processed foods), and tend to prefer more wholesome and natural food. Btw, there's a lot of hidden "sugar" in food, even though it may not be apparent. One common example is white bread.

Not sure of any books, but there are certainly videos about the red pill. May not be MGTOW but close enough. One of them as a starting point for you (I have not watched this and do not endorse): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rApIH4rOxW0

You can't control what others say, but you can control how you react. There's always someone better than you. Appreciate what you have.

The women charter also allows alimony for the wife but only conditional alimony for the husband. There are many other such "hidden" privileges for one gender. Definitely no point marrying. You have to apply for a flat before marriage, with no guarantees that the marriage will proceed. Then you have to have a wedding where you spend money to impress people who you don't know. On top of that, dowry and the ring. Invest your money wisely and retire early.

Even when I was blue-pilled, I kept wondering why men are supposed to chase women. Because I certainly didn't enjoy it. And still don't.

If you have done any relationships, then you will know. Once the feelings are gone she's also gone. You being weak will dry her out faster than a spin dryer. WHO WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU THEN, HUH???

It's true. When you're alone you worry about your own problems, which there is little of. When in a relationship, you have to worry about their problems, which there is a lot of. Peace is so much better. Better to be alone than lonely.

Don't worry, time heals all wounds. Your fairy tale illusions will also disappear once you see what your army mates go through with relationships and especially later in life when they eventually marry (and divorce). See them go through demands of buying house and lavish wedding and even kids. Make the best use of your time but also be kind to yourself, life is not a race.

Not a lawyer, but, if you depend on a contract, when there is a breach, you end up having to go to court to fight over it anyway... Even if you write out the best terms, whether it can be enforced is also another issue. Prevention is cure

Maybe for your case it was real interest, but also remember it is from your viewpoint, which will be biased too Now for OP's case, he was at a bar and most likely drinking. Drinking affects perception. He was also with a group of friends, so it's hard to say whether she was really looking at him. She could also just be looking around while talking and not actually at him. Who knows. All I'm saying is there is a bias and it is likely to be amplified in OP's situation.
/r/MGTOW10/08/20 02:54 AM

Not saying that you're wrong, but there is research showing that men tend to overestimate interest from women, so that could also be the cause...

Have to disagree, simply because people have different strengths. For example, you may spend 10h to physically produce food (essential) but only need 1h in your job to produce money that can buy that amount of food. This is why people trade. It is not a zero-sum game.

I live in a place where military service is compulsory for 2 years and after that, have to go back a while each year for at least 10 years. There is no option to pay taxes in lieu. Of course this is also forced upon on men only. As a coward, I would gladly pay the taxes in lieu of wasting time, if I had the choice. I have about 4 more years to go and I'm out. Salute and good luck.

Dating is basically like lottery, and online dating makes things even worse. If any guys still want to date, they should do it in person. But then, you still have to call and arrange things, and if she turns out to have any deal breakers you just wasted your time. Would rather just spend the precious time on hobbies.

Well, there's also another that goes like this: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. The greatest achievements of mankind are achieved with mass effort. However that does not apply to relationships and marriage -- the more effort you put in the less you get.

I really like this zen story: Nan-in, a Japanese master during the Meiji era, received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen. Nan-in served tea. He poured his visitor’s cup full, and then kept on pouring. The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself. “It is overfull. Hey, Singapore is not that bad and traffic is fine unless you're coming from Malaysia ;p That said, there are better places to visit. Like Malaysia has pretty amazing beaches on the east coast. And although not really SE asia, China/Korea/Japan/Taiwan are nice too.

Well, do whatever you want. The risk cannot be underestimated though. Every man thinks their girl is just 60% crazy until they find out too late. Or you think you're definitely not gonna marry but "she's just so nice" and "how can I say no". Good luck.

I am east asian and have no good experience with asian girls. They seem to be more submissive at first, which means: you do all the work and make all the decisions. Then after a while, they wear the pants from the shadows and manipulate you into doing things. Fortunately I am not easily pressured by social expectations so I have managed to dodge a lot of date set-ups. I also avoid weddings whenever I can, unless it's a close relatives'.
/r/MGTOW02/08/19 01:35 AM

Actually he is probably more objective than you. Because you are in "love" and she can do no wrong. You don't know you are in a trap until shit happens. Anyway, hope everything goes well for you.

/r/MGTOW18/07/19 05:01 AM

When a guy says something, you can probably take it at face value. But when a girl says something, she can change her mind anyfuckingtime. So from her point of view, words don't mean shit and hence what he said didn't really register in her mind, only her agenda. I don't know about the movie but I suspect the character did not communicate directly and straightforwardly like a guy would do that she was not serious. Like, "why should it matter if we're just happy", "let's see where this goes first…
/r/MGTOW18/07/19 04:58 AM

Yes... For them it will never be enough as they want to have their cake and eat it too, whereas men do not even need cake to be happy. It can only get better.

I think you are taking it too personally. It's just hypergamy. Women are designed to look for guys who are taller than her. Who make more than her. Who is better than her. Now think about it. This means the woman who is interested will be inferior in every way. Lol. Do you deserve that? Not really. If you wanna have fun that's up to you but I support monk mode.
/r/MGTOW12/07/19 06:08 AM
