Yeah, it's fair to say I'm messed up mentally to some degree, but that of course is a thorny topic. As to lifting, when I was a freshman in high school I was 6'3" and 140 pounds. I played football, so after I began lifting full time the summer before my junior year I began to add mass. I weighed 195 pounds my senior year and I currently weigh 210 with the goal of reaching 220 by the end of this school year. I have not performed 1RM in probably three years, but I repped 265 for my last set in ben…

Haha, yes, my Christian upbringing led me to suspect many of TRP tenets before I ever experienced them. Namely, I was a good little Christian boy just trying to live an honorable life. And none of the girls ever, ever noticed me. And yet they were getting pregnant in high school with lowlife guys. I became very bitter, honestly, and this bitterness continued even after I gained a considerable amount of muscle mass (primarily for high school football). I struggled to not resent girls, for the sam…

A poorly executed first attempt to contribute to The Red Pill community. I've been a longtime lurker in this community and decided to finally attempt to share some of my ideas. Obviously I did not succeed, but I would appreciate if you could comment on where I failed in my writing style/logical progression so that I may improve if/when I post in the future.

I tend to agree, I finally became an atheist a few months ago after being raised as a Christian. Sadly, in this culture about the only virgins that still exist come from that background...but at that point you're competing with God for their affection, and can you really win that fight?

That's fair. I wrote this in a flurry and didn't really edit the content as much as I should have. If you'd care to offer specific critiques, I'd be very grateful for your input. I want to participate in this community in the future, hopefully in a less cringe-worthy way.

It would save a lot of trouble if they did!

See, I'm glad for folks like you that can dispel the notions I used to have about girls. Unfortunately, I used to deify girls to the point where I essentially considered them almost a more virtuous form of human. If I had known that their thoughts were just as depraved/vile as my male peers', I would have avoided considerable consternation. But seriously, even after reading TRP for months, I still tend to view girls as good little virtuous virgins unless I know demonstrably otherwise. I literall…

Yeah, and I probably suck more than most. It's not an exaggeration to say that I never spoke to girls in high school. A combination of social ineptitude, cowardice, and a generally unattractive appearance/demeanor. If you tallied up every time I spoke to a girl in high school, even the most mundane encounters, I'd be surprised if the tally surpassed 100. In four years. So no wonder I suck! Yeah, I essentially wear whatever I want to, and I'm sure my posture can be improved. It's hard to transiti…

Yeah, if I learned anything from TRP, I should never establish my self-worth on girls. It would be nice to know first-hand that I am more attractive, but then again I have other goals that supersede appearance. I'll admit that it's sometimes difficult to keep moving with such a lack of validation, but who am I kidding? This is life. I make my own meaning. Thanks for your thoughts.

So, I've been lifting weights for 3-4 years now. I'm probably not as far as I should be, but I rep 290 Squat, 240 Bench, 400 Deadlift, etc. 6'3", 210 lbs. Not fat! I used to be extremely unattractive. Long, shaggy hair, glasses, greasy face, skinny as a bone. Now I've added 70 pounds of muscle, ditched the glasses, and shaved the hair. The interesting thing I've noted: Only guys seem to notice my improvements. I see old football teammates, and they comment on how big I've gotten. An old friend t…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
