Jesus, how many of you bastards actually have kids? No one loves unconditionally, mothers included. Everything in this world, from the macroscopic down to the microscopic, hinges on sets of basic conditions and requirements relative to the situation at hand that must be present for their to be integrity. This post makes a lot of leaps and broad generalizations without much meat. Make your own conclusions. It's all subjective.

No idea why your original comment got downvoted; solid insight coming from someone walking the walk (having a kid, in this instance). This sub uses TRP as the Bed of Procrustes at times and tries to jam everything in/cut out what doesn't fit the narrative. Fucking hell.

That's seriously impressive, friend, and takes quite a bit of dedication. I failed the OHP at 80lbs but got it today (I'm 6'1, 170, never lifted before, started with bar across the board save for DLs). I was wondering how long to stick with 5x5 before heading to another program, but just from reading your posts, I'm thinking now to make it a longer term commitment than I originally thought. Part of me didn't want to admit that. She comes up here twice a year for a few weeks to paint and see friends. The fool in me took this as some kind of artistic escape though I now see it otherwise. Monk mode initiated as I'm set to take the most determinant test of my medical career in the next 8-9 weeks. I'll mostly be in solitude so that should help reinforce it. Completely agree. Agreed with cutting them off; no social media so that helps quite a bit in that regard. I have put quite a bit of stock in the toys and blankets, sad at this age. But there is solace in knowing that you can be free of the pain of separation. It does seem that requires finesse, as stoicism ≠ roboticism. Thoughts on that?

It is difficult accepting that as it's contrary to what I've ingrained myself to think. I read TRP and think, "No way it's really like that...is it really like that?!" Reflecting on these experiences and having an objective perspective is helping force my eyes open.

I notice a trend about the wall of text; just had a lot to get out. I personally think she is but I'm heavily biased. Completely agree about her being fully committed to the child first and foremost, I learned that the hard way. Thanks for that; the new girl is where I'm currently hung up and was where I hit that emotional low. I agree wholeheartedly and am not looking to jump into anything.
