I'm french too and yeah it sucks really bad how algerians are portrayed and a lot has to do with medias. The world cup celebration didn't help but mostly people are cool. Regarding the colonization, a lot have to be done in school, educating people about the real history not just some bites made to save France's face when we all know what was done there.
