He’s definitely not submissive — which I actually why I think he would do so well in this new job, because he’d be his own dept head. Whereas in his current job he’s extremely undervalued and forced to be a “yes man.” I want him to find the career fulfillment here that he hasn’t felt elsewhere.

We would interact on most projects, but neither of us directly oversees the other. His dept involves research that informs whatever I’m working on, though. I expect some debate where that stuff is concerned. This is my dream job, but it’s not necessarily his — it’s just much better than what he’s dealing with currently.

Just a thought but if she is really devoted to you, you may want to reconsider the "moving" excuse because her response may just be "Oh fun, let's go!" Think about whether or not she would be willing to drop everything to go with you, because if she is, you should have a better reason in your back pocket for wanting to go without her. Or just another excuse entirely, if you'd rather not tell her the truth.

Yup. I tend towards cute "athleisure" on lazy days since it's insanely comfy but there are also ways of making it look put-together. I never go without makeup during the day, regardless of what I'm doing, so I think that helps me feel more presentable as well. Also, a perk of always looking like I'm ready for the gym is that it encourages me to go more often!

And people love to confuse extremist third-wave feminism with values from traditional first-and-second-wave feminism (think gaining the right to vote, etc) in order to give their ideas credibility and it pisses me off because they have almost nothing to do with one another.

Come on over to /r/redpillwomen and give it a shot, you'd be surprised. We focus on female sexual strategy from an RP perspective and have absolutely no association with /r/relationships whatsoever. I think we can give you much more insight than the men here can.

Welcome :) It's always nice to see other younger women on here. I found RPW at 21, 2 years ago, when I was googling advice for dating a man 10 years my senior. We're no longer together but I've since found a captain with whom marriage is very big possibility and I wouldn't have done it without this place. If you haven't already, read The Surrendered Wife by Laura Doyle. It's basically my bible.

Lots of good feedback here from the male perspective, I just wanted to add my two cents as a RPW. The fact that she always holds her stomach during sex sounds like she may also be self-conscious. OP, has she gained more weight than is normal for someone at her stage in the pregnancy? Has weight previously been an issue for her at all? If she's willing to give you oral but no sex then it's likely she's embarrassed by her body. Perhaps it's actually a comfort test. I know, never ask a fish how to …

I work in advertising and so does my boyfriend, that De Beers campaign is an incredible study in changing public perception. Since we both know exactly how much bullshit it is, however, I'm glad we can take this into account if/when we get married and spend the money on more important things.

He is less disciplined around me, maybe he hangs around me more because I'm not good at sounding authoritative and he knows he can get away with more. The fix might be to stop being such a softy with him.

I think a training class would be a great way for me to step away and let them bond without making it super obvious that I'm trying to get out of the way. I'll definitely suggest it.

This is a really good point that I didn't consider. That could totally be the case. Because as it is, A is always the one to feed him and always holds the leash when we walk him together, and is also the keeper of the treats. The dog knows he's definitely the alpha.
/r/RedPillWomen23/11/15 04:05 PM

What I mean is he bought the dog, and it lives at his house, but I still have a role in taking care of it. We're grad students and when A's in class for hours I'll run back to his place and let the dog out, for example. We don't technically live together, but I spend every night there anyway, so it feels like I do. I'd say we split the responsibilities 40/60.

Bjj is a great suggestion. My SO does it and he says the biggest difference between bjj and other marital arts is that you always need someone to roll with, you can't just go and punch a bag on your own. He's met lots of friends this way.

RPW here. I may be the exception and not the rule, but I'll share anyway. My entire life I told myself a man shorter than 5'10 was a deal breaker. And then I met my current SO. He's 5'6 (exactly my height) and I couldn't be more in love with him. His natural alpha qualities make up for whatever tingles a few extra inches in height might have given me. He also does bjj so I know that even though he's short he could still toss me around if he wanted to. That was a key part of my attraction to him …

We met in our masters program. He's 30 and I'm 23. We were both dating other people at the time but we'd had crushes on each other since the beginning of first semester. He finally confessed how he felt after the year was over and we realized we felt much more strongly for each other than we had ever felt for the people we were currently with. I think it helped that because of our situations, we were never able to have any kind of physical relationship until we were absolutely certain the other …

This is true, and definitely makes me feel better. I briefly considered doing the whole Bridesmaids thing where Kristin Wiig gets up early to put her face on and then sneaks back into bed, but then I realized how absurd that was! Lol.

It sounds like you're doing your best to accommodate his needs, and he doesn't seem to be returning the courtesy. As RPWs we obviously want to do everything we can to satisfy our men but relationships are also about compromise. Have you talked to him about why oral sex doesn't satisfy him? Maybe there's something you could work on as far as technique that would make it more enjoyable for him. Same for handjobs. Perhaps try something new and see how he responds to it. Is he getting upset because …

It depends on the bar. If you go to a more intimate bar with a slightly older crowd, you're going to meet different people than you would at, say, a frat bar.

My sorority house had ~75 girls living in it. Strict rules about alcohol. If we were caught with alcohol in or around the house, we had to pay a hefty fine and defend ourselves to the standards board. Also boys weren't allowed on the second and third floors of the house. Edit: went to a big state school with around 16 chapters of sororities, almost all of them on my campus were like this

If I may, the reason we tend to downvote male questions is not because we don't value the opinions of TRPers. It's because we understand that the advice we give is basically the equivalent of asking the fish how to catch it, and that you would be better served asking questions in the male sub. Also the men here are more likely to give you tough love when you need it. I'm subscribed to TRP and Ask TRP, I think it's important to understand the male perspective on all of this if I'm going to successfully apply the theories we discuss here to my LTR. Some the attitudes there are mildly infuriating, but I realize their strategies differ from ours because their goals differ from ours, and many of them are still in the anger phase of swallowing the pill.

This is a great perspective. And yes, I do understand the importance that making a sexual connection has for men before making an emotional connection. I just need to establish that I will only become physical with him if he sees potential and sees me as more than a plate, which hopefully I'll have proven by then that I'm worth more of an investment than whoever he's currently spinning. I don't fault you guys for spinning plates, I understand that's how y'all work. I just won't let myself be one…

This may be TRP ideology, but RPW doesn't condone sleeping with a man before commitment. That's the easiest way to become a plate. We keep our partner count low and look primarily for LTRs, so your advice doesn't apply.

I think it's all about finding the right shorts for your figure. I have a small waist and a badonkadonk so finding a pair that made my butt look great while minimizing it was hard, till I came across Ann Taylor LOFT shorts. Because most western women have settled into this mindset of being lazy rather than actually doing any work to improve themselves. It's easier to shove the blame for our inadequacies on an external source (the media, the patriarchy, etc) and we've been applauded for it. There's so much positive reinforcement for bad/lazy habits nowadays

I think something that made a huge difference in my last LTR was taking an active interest in my SO's interests. Being open to learning about what makes him happy. Beer, for example, was a big one. I learned so much about it and we had a blast going to different brewpubs and doing tastings and things. He was so impressed. It's incredible! And I think what really differentiates us from feminists is that feminists will try to achieve equality by bringing everyone else down to their level. In this sub, we see something like this and go "Wow, I wish I could do that..." and then we try to do it. We try to get on their level and we're not complacent with ours.

I understand the jealousy--hell, I'm definitely jealous. But the fact that some people are trying to make themselves feel better about their own inadequacies by turning it around and saying it's "Disturbing", she's "photoshopped her soul out of the pictures," and that she's a "creepy stepford wife" is just unnecessary.
/r/RedPillWomen30/06/14 10:39 PM

Yeah but Thought Catalog is kind of an unconventional platform for this sort of article. A lot of TC writers cater to the feminist majority with their "10 reasons why twentysomethings are entitled to being selfish blah blah blah." Before TRP, I would have seen this as an insult if my future husband were to ask for it. After discovering TRP and realizing how often women pull ridiculous shit, I don't see it as a personal affront because I would know beyond the shadow of a doubt that my child is MY child. I fucking gave birth to it. Evolutionarily, men can't ever fully know with complete confidence if a child is theirs or not, and I can't imagine being a man and having that question in the back of my mind each time I looked …

I love this attitude, that's exactly what I'm talking about-- you have a goal in mind about how you want to appear to others, and you're accomplishing it through your outfit choice.

There are some things we can infer based on what we've read here in RPW and TRP. For example a man might assume that a woman that embraces her femininity through her clothing is more likely to embrace it in other ways in her daily life as well. I don't know if men pay attention to a specific style so much as they pay attention to the overall picture, I'm not a man so I can't really speak for them lol

This is a great perspective, I can't save her from making those mistakes, only hope that she learns from them soon enough. A woman who makes six figures is more likely to peg herself as a "career woman" and value that above everything else. She's more likely to put off marriage, children, etc for her job. It's going to be difficult to find a woman who makes that much money and still holds traditional values, and is willing to give up that career success for a family during her 20s. I'm not saying it's impossible to find someone like that, but pretty unlikely.

I like your perspective from an evolutionary standpoint that a woman who has had many partners is probably a poor judge of quality. This may not be something we consciously realize when we "slut shame" for lack of a better phrase, but it does explain why women are afraid of being labeled a slut: we are essentially saying she is unable to hold out for quality and so she settles for quantity instead. I've been thinking of writing a "in defense of RPW" post. Outlining a few points that I think people commonly misunderstand. While this sounds like a good idea, I don't think we should have to justify ourselves to anyone. Yes, it's frustrating that we are often misunderstood, but those same people who criticize our viewpoints are not looking to be convinced. They're looking to assert their own viewpoint and "save" us from our way of life. A common theme in TRP is that you can't accept the theory…

This is a conversation that needs to be had. The overwhelming majority of REPORTED rapes are male-female, but that doesn't mean they don't happen in other ways or that they aren't just as terrible just because they're outliers. It's so amazingly hypocritical that this situation is drastically reframed when the sexes of involved parties are different from the norm. Rape is rape no matter who it happens to. I think feminazis enjoy playing the victim to the "patriarchy", in some sick way, and they …

I don't think classes are really feminized. It just depends on the nature of your major. I just graduated and in all 4 years the only "feminized" class I took was psychology of women (a total joke. I barely went). So if you're sticking to hard sciences I think you'll be fine

It's so frustrating getting weird looks when I admit to my friends I want to have my first child in the next 5-7 years. I'm going to grad school so I can help financially support myself and my future family, not so I can become a "career woman." It's a concept that seems so difficult for other twentysomethings to grasp nowadays

He argues that what is labeled as feminism is really a combination of narcissism, consumerism and the quest for power, all repackaged as a gender war. The way you articulated that just blew my mind a little bit. That really is a perfect summation of modern day feminism. Definitely giving that a read.

I just graduated from uni and most of my friends have moved away, so I'm stuck working in my college town for the summer until my lease is up and I go to grad school. One of the benefits of not having any friends in town is being able to spend all my time on myself! In addition to cracking down on my diet/fitness, one of my summer goals is to take better care of my hair. LDRs take work. They're not for everyone. If you don't feel the need to put in that work, then more power to you, find someone closer. But just know that if you're going to date someone 50 miles away, the rules are slightly different. The most important part of an LDR is trust, and it seems as though she may have issues trusting you if you're not constantly in touch. It's up to you if you can live with this

Beta doesn't mean "bad." I think LTR game is a strategic mix of alpha and beta traits. "Being alpha" occurs on a sliding scale, and if you're not just spinning plates and are looking for something more meaningful, it is important to discover what balance makes the relationship work for you. Everyone is different and every relationship is different. I think the most important thing to remember is to maintain frame, keep your woman's respect, and establish a Captain- First Mate dynamic from the st…

I just recognize this situation from the last relationship I was in, before I discovered RPW. I treated my ex like shit because for the majority of our relationship he was a wannabe-alpha but never followed through with it. So for two years, I learned exactly how to manipulate his beta side and I knew exactly what I could get away with. Even when he started TRULY employing RP principles to try and repair our relationship, my respect for him was already gone. My point is that your efforts are pro…

You have taught her she can always get what she wants from you and have done nothing but reinforce this behavior. She has no reason to respect you as a man because it doesn't sound like you even respect yourself. Even if you start employing some serious dread game and stick up for your manhood, she already knows how to manipulate your beta side. Realize that you deserve more and cut this chick completely out of your life

I've never been married so take this with a grain of salt, but I'm pretty sure marriage is about compromise, and if it's something that will make you extremely unhappy, then he should respect that. Most people my age can't fathom the idea that this inflated feminism/borderline feminaziism they subscribe to can be detrimental to the delicate dynamic of intimate relationships. While I think the article sensationalizes this a little, there is definitely truth to what the author says. I also think this depends on where you live. The university I attend has been on every single internet "top ten most attractive universities" list you can think of, so a 6 here might be an 8 elsewhere. Learn to recognize the triggers that make you fitness test, learn to pause your mind to choose how to act This is a wonderful point. Lanolin as a lip balm. Bear with me here, it's really weird, it's technically sheep oil (from their wool I believe) but it is the most similar product in composition to the oil our own human skin produces. It is marketed for breastfeeding mothers to put on their chapped nipples but it has done WONDERS for my lips. It has a texture similar to vaseline or Aquaphor. It's now a part of my bedtime regimen... I wake up with super soft lips!

Oil cleansing is wonderful! I mix 1/3 castor oil with 2/3 EVOO and apply in to my face before I get in the shower, then let it sit with a steaming washcloth over my face to open my pores, and wipe it off when the towel cools. Re-apply the warm washcloth and let it sit several times. I do this at least every other day. The reason it works so well is because soap dries out your skin and causes it to produce MORE oil to keep it from drying out-- so when you cleanse with oil, not only does oil disso…

I have to disagree with this. I have 4 close male friends, but our friendship works because I am NOT attracted to them. We've been friends since middle school and all have our own SOs at this point. My SO is comfortable with me being close with them because he knows there is absolutely no competition. If your SO does not feel he has to compete with your close male friends, I feel that is the key to being able to make it work.

Not on a college campus, that's for sure. Hookup culture here is so disheartening sometimes! Guys are either "enjoying being free for the first time in their lives" (freshman-sophomore) or "almost ready to graduate and don't want to be tied down" (junior-senior). I'm one of these girls. That's all I mean when I say it: friendships with girls can be exhausting and somewhat competitive. That's not I say I don't have 3-4 close girlfriends with whom things are effortless, but I prefer to hang around guys rather than large groups of girls because it's just more chill and there's less social pressure. I can't speak for all girls who say this of course.
