Had a friend once , he was already a bit older and had kids from a previous marriage. His then gf wanted kids but he did not. She was sad because of that , until one of her friends told her she is the one in charge of that ‘wink wink’ . Sure enough, few months later we were learning the news of a baby on the way and engagement . Shameful how they do this. Hope we invent male birth control soon ...

Happened to me too. Some time after the breakup I was suddenly dad <my name>, while the new boyfriend was dad <asshole's name>. Unfortunately I don't think there's anything you can do other than to educate your kids and see what happens. Next, after asshole ditched my crazy ex, happened that my kids came to me and say they would never call anyone else 'dad' other than me. Actually pretty impressive because of their young age. Hang in there, will eventually not suck anymore.

Btw they say they don't want babies then will change their mind out of the blue and sue you for child support. Don't trust anyone to decide your future. If not doing vasectomy, always always wear protection even if on a stable relationship.

Guys, you should also watch 'They shall not grow old'. Peter Jackson(Lord of the rings) got real footage from WWI and remastered/colorized it, plus added some voice over based on lip reading of images. It is a fantastic work. It is eye opening to see what they've been through in WWI and how devastating it was, not only from the fights but from the poor conditions they had to endure at the front.

Not sure where you live but I'd suggest hiking or camping. Being outdoors does wonders for me. And if it doesn't to you, try something else till you find. Plenty of things available and sometimes we don't even know we could do. For instance a buddy of mine built his own custom car as his hobby how cool is that ? And don't let the grind get to you. all the bullshit at work is just that - bullshit. Don't take it home with you .

Pay yourself as little as possible from the company and move all your assets to the business Courts will then assess you as a low income and not fuck you up too much so it's not a fixed value no matter what. Try and negotiate that you will PAY FOR THE ITEMS FOR THE KIDS DIRECTLY YOURSELF , eg yearly school material you go to store and pick it up and take to the kids. Minimize money going to ex and maximiza money going to kids.

I think its a nice gesture to your Buddy but it might be annoying in the long run at work. Plus, I'm not sure I would like to go to my buddies work party as I probably won't know anyone other than said buddy. All in all, follow your heart , who cares with what pepe think.
