I would need a time machine to answer that question. I had to google was Miss was.

I don’t care that you don’t think policy change is possible. It doesn’t actually matter.

Really, you searched the whole internet and decided it didn’t exist? Impressive. Get over yourself.

Honestly, I didn’t look again. I lost interest...and really if you were interested you could look yourself.

Yes that’s exactly what I’m advocating. I mean obviously there is only one way to do things and anything else is wrong.

People change policy all the time. And I would argue that this is an example of why it’s not working fine. I’ll look while I’m walking around the art exhibits, but it was just a basic google search...I’m sure you could either find it or something g better in your native language.... if you’re interested. Admittedly I’m loosing that.

No that the change wouldn’t require a legislative adjustment, but one of policy. I’ll try and look for it again, but I’m heading out to Nuit Blanche. Maybe tomorrow.

I think the law allows it, I think it’s a policy change...from my very limited googling. But regardless. That’s what I would change.

You asked how I would do things. I would adjust beat policing regulations to allow for more plate based ticketing, like parking tickets and red light tickets. Or do you want to know how I would change things, without actually changing things. I completely think this whole altercation is completely unnecessary and a waste of police timing/resources. Issue the ticket, move on. Now you have the process a person, all the judicial time and wasted tax dollars over a seat belt ticket that absolutely ha…

Are you being purposefully obtuse?

Is that what you got from my posts? That the cops decided not to bother and moved on?

Exactly how I described in my previous posts.

Yeah ok. I think the policing practice in the Netherlands are ass backwards and I think this is an example of why. I disagree with the policy that creates this and think there could stand to be a review...as happens from time to time. I disagree that this is best practice. But sure, do whatever you want in your own area. I do know that internationally police policy has taken learnings from Sammy Yatim. But you are right, my apologies.

I see you don’t issue tickets on plates where you are. I also just asked my husband and here the driver gets the ticket anyways. It’s the driver responsibility to ensure that everyone in the car as their belt on. So even less of an issue here. Issue the ticket, move on. This seems like the learning from Sammy Yatim. Police smarter. But again. We can disagree. This seems like a green cop working hard and not smart.

Issuing a ticket on a plate is the same as issued g a ticket. Issuing tickets on plates happens all the time. This whole waste of police time and resources could have, and should have, been avoided. Issue the ticket and move on. But we can disagree. If you actually think this is best practice for basic policing then sure. I would take issue with it, but you can for sure think it’s necessary and justifiable. I can’t help but think AI will solve this soon. Basic stuff like this won’t be done by hu…

The point is the ticket. The infraction is the seat belt issue. Issuing the ticket is the point, is the consequence for the behaviour. Everything else in the video is a waste of police resources, Human Resources, and really and unnecessary escalation. Why was any of the rest of the video necessary? There is almost no needs to even communicate at all. Treat it like running a red. Issue a ticket and don’t waste police time even.

Sorry, not easier but smarter. Well actually easier as well. Same result, no waste of resources. That’s the learning here.

What’s happening here is not easier than assigning the ticket to the car and walking away. It’s harder and a waste of resources for something that is arguable completely unnecessary. There is learning here. It’s not to do any of this.

That was the complaint when we did photo radar and photo ticking for running reds here in Ontario...i know the photo ticketing for reds is up and has been running for a while. Photo radar goes in and out, I think there is talk of in again. I don’t see how you can have one and argue again the other, but that’s not what this is about here. That’s how parking tickets work as well. The empty car gets ticketed and the owner sorts it. Easy Peasy. Get the plate, give the car the ticket and let the driv…

You don’t actually need to give a physical ticket for there to be a fine. They can’t nope out/pass/take off and as a long as you have the plate it’s all good...refer to my previous post for outcomes. No need to any of this conflict. Why bother chasing someone trying to ‘escape’ a ticket. It’s at best just dumb and at worse an indication of poor practice.

But what are you escaping? A ticket for not wearing your seatbelt, that’s too much. I don’t even understand how or why she got out of the car?

Escape what? Do you get detained for not wearing a seat belt. This gets weirder and weirder. This seems like a ticket then off. Even if she took off for the ticket you just mail it to her and she pays it when she renews her license.

I would be interested in a sub like that. I'm not super informed in MR issues and would like to change that, but this sub...well I agree.

Coming to the defense of this behaviour does nothing to support your cause. I agree that mens rights needs a voice, especially in the area of Family Law, however explaining this away/not seeing the issue here makes you seem ignorant. Now anything else you say will be questioned, at least by me. I mean if you don't quite understand this, then what else are you just "not getting."

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
