Not just that. After I started working as a (male) teacher, I discovered that the 100% female teaching staff were difficult to work with. They were cliquish, catty, and petty. I did not feel welcome and I could not bear to work with them. So I left. In contrast, the law firm I ended up going to went to practiced family law. They gave preference to male hires because they didn't have enough male attorneys, and they recognized that having a healthy office dynamic requires it.
