Unless you're really tall. Absolutely this. My boyfriend puts me on a pedestal but isn't looking up to me nor am I looking down at him. He's metaphorically "really tall." He has amazing qualities that let me know that he's more than worthy of me. He'll tell me often that I'm "too pretty" for him or "too good." However, he has so many qualities that I'm lacking and I know it. I use that to motivate myself to become better.

Your mind is so consumed with scoring hot chicks, that you're overlooking the fact that you've already found the cream of the crop, the very best girl in the game. Are you never looking to settle down? If so, I could see how dating your dream girl would cause you to lose sight of all the lesser girls you could bang. Otherwise, it seems like you're using a rare, 10lb, prized fish as a bait to lure anchovies.

I think I'm a challenge until the guy gets me. And then when we're "official" I become easy and willing to adapt. How do I know when to stop being hard to get?

How am I not "compatible" with everyone I want whereas this girl is "compatible" with everyone she meets? Teach me how to be compatible.

She doesn't talk to my bf in months and then out of nowhere sends him a flirtatious text that sends his heart a-flutter. That's all it takes for him to want her more than me, someone who has been in a happy relationship with him for half a year. She has never gone on a single date with him nor even given him a kiss. When I asked him what made her special he says "I don't know. Every guy liked her in high school." Apparently, she does this successfully with the majority of his friends as well.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
