Look, there's some good advise in this thread and there's some terrible advise in this thread. The fact of the matter is that this is all about your mind set. All our lives, we're socialized to never talk to strangers. What ends up happening is that you, as a person interacting with another person whose never met yet you, creates an awkward tension naturally. This leads to boring "get to know you" questions Nd those interactions are naturally boring by their nature. But you don't do this with yo…

Confidence is attractive to women. If it's scary, then it takes confidence to do it. "Resistance always points to true north."

Go by yourself. I know it sounds crazy, but it will push you beyond your wildest comfort zone and you wont have your friends as a safety net to fall back into. Just keep bouncing around meeting people if it goes poorly. And the ones that go well, you can bounce back into.

This sub is so cringy. Guys, stop "negging" girls and stop focusing on how high your "value" is. Just focus on talking to more girls and having more fun than anyone else in the room. You guys are going to give yourselves complexes.

I love it. Its clever and it would certainly make me laugh if a girl said it to me.

The best answer to this is finding what works for you. There's not really a wrong way. When in doubt, ask yourself, what's the boldest move. A lot of what's attractive to women is counter intuitive to men. For example, the more scared you are to do something, such as a cold approach, the more confidence it takes to actually do it. A lot of pick up, especially in the beginning is being shit-scared and doing it anyway. The only way to learn is try. Regarding asking, the good thing is that it puts …

It's only awkward if it's the first time you've touched her. Get in the habit of initiating short, innocuous touching when you first meet or the beginning of the date and see how receptive she is to it. A good example would be if you make her laugh, touch her arm as you both laugh and then don't linger. If she teases you or gives you a hard time about something playfully, gently push her away. If this all sounds too scary, get in the habit of touching your friends. Grabbing their shoulders or hu…

Make friends with everyone. The more people you know, the more comfortable you'll be and it's more natural for the girl because she sees that you're just an outgoing, friendly guy who talks to everyone. It makes it much easier to strike up a conversation. Also...have more fun at the gym than anyone else.

You're never going to be ready, and it's never going to be easy. But if you put your faith in the process and just don't let yourself become discouraged, one day, you'll look up at the most amazing girl give ever dated and realize that every rejection led you to her.

Or...confront your fear by taking action. The anxiety that's associated with the approach is never going to go away. You just learn to approach despite it. Don't give yourself an excuse. Approach. Just do it.

I think your biggest problem is your limiting belief

Lack of clear intent perhaps?

First off, you never know which girl is going to respond and which won't. So if a girl doesn't doesn't respond, never take it personally. Also, you want to get on call status as soon as possible, but it's a good idea to change it up in order to keep it exciting. I alternate between texting, calling, and snapchatting. My method starts with the interaction. I tell a girl as soon as we part ways that I will shoot her a text so she has my number and that I'll text her the next day. Calling, in my op…

I said "if"...as in if she's weirded out by someone approaching her. It shows that you're socially calibrated and she'll likely laugh if you're confident in your approach. The way you carry yourself, your attitude, demeanor, and intent are what matters. Not what you say. What matters is that she's comfortable with the interaction and that you state your intent. Be bold. Are you interested in her? Or her copy of The Notebook? As for being horrible advice...this has worked for me several times and…

Girls aren't used to being picked up during the day. The sheer boldness of approaching shoud carry you through the interaction. Just be fun. If she acts uncomfortable, acknowledge the awkwardness by just saying something like...I know this is awkward but I just thought you were cute and wanted to meet you. If she's sitting, ask if you can sit with her. If you have a solid interaction, she'll be comfortable giving you her number and likely she'll text you back.

I very much agree with you. I understand the "text for logistics" but I also feel like you can build a lot of comfort over texting. What are your thoughts on snapchat?

Every rejection is another brick in your palace. Rejection hurts. You're willingness to expose yourself to it is what separates you from other men. What is victory without tribulation? Want to stop feeling rejected? Succeed. The only way to fail is to quit.

Very helpful. Would love to see more of these. Is there a sub reddit specifically for text game?

That's awesome, brother. Courage is the ability to operate despite fear.
