Good post bro. I'll be watching for you out there ;-)

Good post bro. Up voted. I vouch for the abstain then release it all in your next woman with a vengeance vs by yourself with the Internet. Keep up the good work.

Oh wel... The ugliness of the sausage factory exposed. What can I say half of my life should be in the weekly OYS posts.

Well that was my botched main event, and my ultimatum, which in hindsight was a mistake and it led to this. Perhaps the frustration I had felt and accumulated boiled over or whatever. So yeah, from that standpoint, perhaps a better course would have been: continue improving, subtly charm her, be James fucking Bond, complete OI in case of rejections, and ah yes bang at will other women as well. Alas that ship has sailed for me now.

I was not ready to file. I thought I was ready and had prepared myself for divorce mentally (as best as one can). But when it hits you in the face and she does it first and it fucks up your life (in the short term at least) you have to think really hard and ask "do I really want this, is / was there a better way?" And the answer to me personally was "I fucked up here and accelerated things too quickly maybe." Not sure there's a textbook way to have that FMor FU discussion, mine didn't go well. F…

Well it was something I shouldn't have done. Ultimatums are not a good idea, despite what you may read on BPP levels of dread. Of course I only have my experience to rely on and I know I may have easily forced the convo way early. And no, I didn't get caught. I did leave the house a few times at night following being denied sex and without explanations, but that's not when I had fun on the side. Lastly, although she didn't have concrete proof, she suspects I "cheated".

Thanks. Yes, without a doubt. It's been a huge game changer and frankly I stepped up in a lot of ways. Looking after 3 kiddos under 6 (one in diapers) on my own when they're with me has been tough (duh) but hugely rewarding.

If you're the same UltimateCAD with lots of stories of banging outside marriage in last year or so I think I know why you're asking: maybe to see if your decision to stay (for the kids?) and bang both at home and outside is the right one? Regardless, here's my answer: Divorce sucks. It is bad. It is ugly. As a man, the family you create (and hope to lead) is one of your life's main accomplishments. I am a fan of the model of staying married if you can help it. I forgot what study I read or liste…

Societal pressure and habits. Pure and simple. People in USA and especially women the likes of which you describe just put their "family" at the center of their life. Of course that's what they're going to talk about. That's all they know.

Go see a lawyer. You are being abused. If you wake up and she revolts you have a high risk she will divorce you first and fuck you over good for cash and prizes, plus way more time with kids than you. If you wake up and do the right red pill thing you have a chance to turn this around.

Ok - asked my attorney if I increase my chances by moving with my oldest kids in tow. It's a bold move indeed. But I'd rather be bold and fail than fail because I haven't fought hard enough early on. Thanks again.

Hmmm very tough to do in my case as my youngest is 9 months old - my wife already got paper from pediatrician saying she's to breastfeed till 24 months. We're 2 weeks before prelim pre- court hearing.

Hey man thanks for your post. My wife filed a month ago and given she's been a SAHM for 5+ years she's going after me for cash and prizes and >80% custody time. I hired a lawyer as did she and I am now after reading your post seriously thinking that to fight the long fight for a 50-50 (or really a 45me-55her) I need to step up my knowledge of the system and maybe fire my lawyer at some point. Indeed if I litigate all the way I will spend a fucking fortune. Yes I love my kids so much and I have b…

Thought the exact same when I read it a couple of days ago. I only love my kids unconditionally (meaning I will be there for them when they need me). Even that comes with strings beyond basic needs: they behave and are good kiddos, we do way more fun stuff and I make an extra effort. They are brats and don't fall in line: we only do bare bones stuff. Mark Manson is indeed about to marry and frankly is talking himself into it a bit with that blog and drinking his own koolaid. I know I did it (wit…

I just went through SGM again and I think is one of the best books in the side bar. Not just on the techniques but really the mindset you should have when having sex and really relationships in general. highly recommend it.

Oh boy. You are such a baby. You have no business getting anywhere close to a LTR that could lead to marriage. Go build a career, have fun, travel, game women, and maybe in 10-15 years settle down if you feel like it. And if by settling down you're thinking marriage then, don't do it without a prenup. If you've dodged this bullet with the pregnancy consider yourself lucky.
/r/MarriedRedPill17/03/16 12:39 AM
1

Yep . That's why the man asks the woman to marry him. He's the one doing the asking. She is doing the accepting (or not) to be HIS wife.

No. What you have isn't failure. It's a huge cheap lesson and near miss. You should go look in the mirror now and put a big smile on your face. I am about to give 55% of my assets and a huge chunk of my future income for having been married way early and having been so naive 9 yrs ago. So you're way better and will learn from mistakes of others.

I'd say the key here is to not think about it anymore. The more you give attention to shit behavior like this the more you lose and give off the kind of weakness that she smells that inspired her mammal brain to act that way in the first place. You have to subtly build yourself up - as I am sure you know - to the point that she won't even think of saying crap like this, and if she does it's at the risk of embarrassing herself in front of friends or peers, either because of how ridiculous it soun…

My wife filed 1 month ago and we're in middle of it now. Yesterday my 5 year old was kidding around with how daddy was getting attention from some woman she saw and said I may marry her. Then my other kid stepped in and said "no, daddy's married to mommy silly." It was amazing to see their innocence and yet how quickly they can learn how things work, and how malleable their little minds are. So if mine goes through with her divorce I have no doubt we'all be able to raise our kids OK and coach th…

The path forward just reeks through this post and you know it in your gut. Just afraid to trust yourself and your gut: dump her. She's treating you this way because you're accepting it and putting up with it. Start respecting yourself. Other people will follow. And yes, it will get way worse in the future if you marry this woman. This is a small preview consider yourself lucky. Cut the cord now swiftly.

Also: always call the airline if there's an issue with your flight or you want to change something. Sometimes you get a good deal at the ticket counter/ gate but most times you may have to battle other travelers who want the same thing. Just call them, and they'll rebook you over the phone. Simple and elegant.

I think this works well also in thinking about your career and mission in life. That's how I read your title and thought about it initially. Find better bigger more impact and more complex problems to solve. Like Seth Godin said: complex jobs are hard to learn and easy to do, but paid well because few people spent the time and have the brains to do it (think physician, attorney etc). Other jobs are easy to learn but hard to do, thus they pay a lot less since there's a low barrier to entry (think…

You better get involved with those kids now, do activities together, go to their school, go to their doctor appointments. Get fucking proactive. When you'll fully wake up and your marriage will end in divorce she's going to take you for all you've got as a SAHM. She'll get custody, you're going to pay lots of $$ in support possibly alimony too and on top of that not see your kids much. Good luck.

If you met her now would you be attracted to her? Want to be with her? It strikes me that you're with someone that you've met when you were only 18. People change a LOT over time especially from those teen numbers. And as far as being OK alone: if you're not happy being alone you're in bad company. So you have to work on improving yourself, doing shit you enjoy and that builds you up to be a better man.
/r/MarriedRedPill28/02/16 12:30 AM
2

Why? You're trying to control her and it's a bad sign already. Obviously what she does is not a terribly good omen (looking for online attention like that) but the more you're going to try to fix it the worse it will get. You. Care. Too. Damn. Much.

Answering you on how I demonstrate value to my wife would be a waste of time. Value is subjective and she clearly didn't see any or enough of it if she thinks she'll be better off on her own. So for me to toot my own horn on how awesome I am is futile. Plus you seem to have your own misconception on whether I have a posting history or not as being an indicator of how solid an effort I've put in my self improvement. You are right in that it does take killing your ego and realizing you must put a …

Yes that's what I meant... Proper quality game... Ultimatums (at least in my world) are very unsexy. Maybe I will learn how to give one successfully in my next marriage or LTR.
/r/MarriedRedPill24/02/16 11:11 PM
1

Well I will give you a reason I am "reacting". She was planning to move out of our house kids in tow and then file for support and me paying for her and kids living somewhere else. So my "reaction" was to talk her into staying in house separated for the good of our kids which is our shared goal. And obviously with added benefits of (1) me not paying for another residence ; (2) things getting delayed so maybe she'll come to her senses as to what a mistake she's making and told her hand. So not su…

Thanks - appreciate the quality advice. I haven't stopped hitting on her subtly, and blew out of the water her attempt to get me to sleep in guest room during these times when we're physically separated but living in our home. She was like "if there's any chilvalry left in you maybe you'll let me sleep in our king size bed and you take the queen bed in the guest room ". I almost laughed in her face. Told her she's my wife I expect her to sleep next to me and it's her choice if she wants to be el…

It's ok. We all have those feelings. Exactly where did you see that I came to her for a pat on the back? I own it and it's time to move on. Trust me going through separation, attorneys, custody schedules, potentially custody battle, financial strains is not going to be fun. No choice now and no looking back. I'd much rather run game on my wife. And what's wrong with you that you have so much time to spend on Reddit and to re-read posts, comments and such?
/r/MarriedRedPill24/02/16 10:57 PM
1

Good point and good catch. But it's going to be easier to work toward that (as we know that work never ends right?) without a reluctant bitchy first officer. She is welcome to come back if I deserve it and am indeed a high value man (and if I am not already committed - doubtful ).

Yep I struggle too with some of his language. The not too infrequent combination of circular reasoning, reliance on abstract terms and bad punctuation to me is a huge turn off. The bad punctuation kind of negates any value that may come from otherwise potentially solid arguments.

Yeah couldn't agree more. I mean look at her vs him. I'd take her for a spin in that red dress and with those black heels on. She looks way better now than she did years prior. She is obviously out on the market again...

Hmmm good insight... I read my journal notes from a year ago and the fundamental change and radical decision at the start of my MAP was "Not in my fourties". Things will change or I am switching gears since I can't live like this anymore. I was mentally preparing myself and it was a huge paradigm shift for me at the time. Seems I got there earlier than I thought.

You're probably right. That said it's not always that simple... Like others said "she's pregnant not crippled". Her entitlement and my beta were to a point where my rocking the boat over time accumulated. Not saying there was no other way and I did it perfectly. Saying ultimately each man's application of dread and RP will be his own and there will be mistakes. But ultimately you have to be a man on a path and not push a rock uphill like Sisyphus forever. I own my clumsy dread, any good I have c…

That's oversimplifying it but largely true. I knew the clock was ticking and if things didn't improve in the long run I'd be even more screwed financially if the breakup point was to take place much farther than now. I gave myself a couple of years, it ended up happening within one. I fucked up yes. Would this ship have been able to be saved ? Maybe, who knows. Water under bridge now.
/r/MarriedRedPill23/02/16 12:57 PM

Correct. She thinks she'll be better off without me and generally is a very stubborn my way or the highway type of person. Guess whose way has it been for most of our time together and whose fault is that?

Hahahaha make it small, you'd lose this one whine.
/r/MarriedRedPill23/02/16 11:58 AM
3

Correct - but I have to laugh at your last statement. Marriage built on a "proper foundation of romantic attraction" is a modern invention and why therapists make a living. For centuries marriage has been an arrangement, a contract between families and a way to socially tie people, make alliances, ensure procreation. A very rational way to go about it. The play Romeo and Juliet was a satire when it first came out - on how dumb people get when they're in love.
/r/MarriedRedPill23/02/16 11:49 AM

Good point- indeed I rolled over and folded most of our marriage (pretty much like my wife's dad does and I see it now so clearly how her mom wears the pants in that marriage and the example she set for my wife- all things I missed of course for years and years).
/r/MarriedRedPill23/02/16 11:45 AM
3

Good question... I think a big part of us getting married was both of us settling. I don't think we ever had a hot desire for one another. And I know what that's like since I've had tons of chemistry with other women in the past - in our case she was "marriage material" like seemed good with kids, seemingly stable family, great cook.

And trust me this is NOT the easy route. What I am going though right now and the future as a co parent, main breadwinner who's going to have to pay lots of custody and possibly some temp alimony since wife is a SAHM, kids are little - is not easy nor fun. I am simply looking to pick up the crums and look for the positive in this situation: ability to raise my kids hopefully 50% of the time exactly how I want to without having to deal with influencing a first officer in the mix, and spinning pla…

Yes pretty much the fm or fu. It came after several denials of service in a row over days and during a tense period. It was s culmination of sorts but also something in hindsight I could have avoided and treated with more loving kindness.

That's really everything. /u/archwinger (thanks bud) made me realize importance of that: to a woman who's hot for you confident, in control behavior will be a turn-on; to one who's known you as a beta for along time, the same behavior can communicate you're a selfish jerk. Also /u/TrainingTheBrain and others have said it too: you must enforce standards of behavior from the very beginning. Sex is always on the table, whether normal, oral or other kind. Talking won't help. If you care that much go ahead and expose your dad to new experiences. Go together for a hike (you can start with a simple activity like that). Then maybe later you can go together in a shed building class or some manly shit like that where he can DO something and maybe meet other guys his age range with similar interests. Help him develop and explore his hobbies. At 57 he's not even aware how easy it is these days to find things to do with like minded people. (Internet!) so …

Talking about it would be a negative. Look for ways in which your wife can see the world around you in action: i.e. other women being impressed, you showing leadership and other people being attracted to your frame. That's the only way you can make that situation work for you. Are there any company events you can bring wife to? Can you organize something and bring your wife along? As far as the good vibes you're getting at work, don't let it get to your head and start talking about it at home. Y…

This is a key insight : " A defensive girl has already lost, any further attack and you're having to stoop lower and lower to reach her. Let her regain her dignity, it costs you nothing and is as easy as silence. She'll act more civilized and less like a trapped animal after she recovers. If at that point you have something of lesser value to cede, exchange for the bigger payoff. She gets the boobie prize." I can tell you that I have been at this for a year after 6 of marriage and I have had my wins (more sex, more assertive leadership at home) but also my losses (the jerk asshole coming out and treating my wife in negative ways as opposed to ignoring her/focusing even more on improving myself).
