It may not seem obvious to you now, but you are still in love with the memory of how things used to be. She is a very different person now and so are you. Let go of the past and be there in the present and future for yourself and your kids.

Honestly, this has less to do with your intentions and more to do with what you can't see. Your remarried friends have possibly not fully healed from the trauma of the previous divorce, and misery may want company. Just be there for them regardless. People make mistakes until they learn. It's out of your control, so let it go and avoid investing any time feeling like you need to save them. A good friend is there regardless.
