Men are more likely to succeed in attempting to kill themselves than women. Women attempt to kill themselves a LOT more often though. The methods used in the attempts are the big differences. Men tend to use more 'guaranteed' methods, with less regard to messiness or pain, while women aim for more of the painless, clean ways.
