Im about to do this after 30 years! Its an abusive, mental and emotional torture, marriage and affected the kids so much as I prolonged for them. I and kids are in therapy and meds and she living her life with holidays and adventures. Cant take it anymore of her narcissistic abuse and being the supply. I do feel guilty but its been 30 years of just giving in and providing as sole earner. Feels like i am/was just an atm machine and emotional punching bag. Now feels used and thrown out at late 50s…

Im confused! Top part was sharinng the signals to walk away but you are saying you still with her (language classes, need to work etc) - trying to change her?

Don’t compare! Ask her objectively what’s missing and what’s her expectations thats missing. It’s not about if you are relatively better than others but whether its good (enough) for both of you/ if not fix that or go for divorce!

Thank you! “Dig in” means - stay put /not run away for kids sake? In 30 years of this, I only focussed on work and kids. She controlled all the family and friends and I don’t have anyone near me. We had moved away when we got married and raised kids wo any family. She has circle of friends and wants to have her life and travel. Recently ive been setting boundaries and saying no and prioritizing kids. Now, Im trying to do things i want to but hard for me to compartmentalize. She is always in my h…
