I was thinking the same thing ! This actually reminded me of this short educational film from the 1930s I watched called "How to Undress for Your Husband". It was on one of the many Roku apps that plays B-Movies. It was a great lesson to learn !

You're not in the minority. My husband and I share the same beliefs. Even in my 20s I always held these beliefs. Of course you two trust each other but you also respect and acknowledge the face that there are boundaries associated with your relationships. You wouldn't do anything that would make each other uncomfortable. I have male acquaintances from work and even they know they have no business hanging out with a married woman one on one or texting at odd hours.

Cucumber slices are good too. I personally love warm water with lemon. Yoga is wonderful too. I do notice that yogis always look 10-15 years younger.

If you're unsure, definitely get your Vitamin D levels tested at your next physical. That's when I realized my levels were low. I figured since I live in AZ I'm sure my levels were at the optimal range. Nope !

I'm two months late to the party but your post was awesome. Emily Yoffe aka Dear Prudence received major backlash on an article she wrote on this very subject. I think the RP guys mentioned it too. I'm with you on drinking. I limit myself to 1-2 drinks.

I love all those classic movies. Ever since I was a kid, I always loved watching the beauty/style evolution of women from the 1920s and beyond. Now it's oversized PINK sweatpants and flip flops. Years ago, I asked my grandmother if women really dressed that nice everywhere they went. "Oooh yes" she replied "I wouldn't have been caught dead without my red lipstick".

This is anecdotal but I will share anyway, I've been using vitamin c powder daily and prenatal vitamins. When I had a cold / sinus infection a few months ago I was adding the powder to my regimen. I swear my hair grew an inch in a month. My hair takes forever to grow too. I made the mistake of cutting it over a year ago. I had the same haircut as my mom ! Noooo....

I was hoping someone in TRP would catch this. This was totally taken out of context. She mentioned that he protects his turf. Would these women in LTRs prefer to have their man not give a shit ? Do you think that if she worded it differently like 'Out of respect for him, I will not perform with other men' it wouldn't have been a big deal ? No, probably not. They would still be saying that's his problem. I have been a long time fan of hers and followed her career. One of her early quotes she said…

I love watching Sofia Loren movies and those campy Giallo movies. The women are gorgeous and they're part of my 'beauty inspiration' moments. Favorite Beauty Icons: Dita von Teese. Delores del Rio Sofia Loren Phyrne Fisher (Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries) Josephine Baker Oh and speaking of languages, Linguistics and etymology are fabulous subjects. I am reading about the Basque language. It's so mysterious and unlike anything I ever heard.

Ya know, she has really grown on me. I completely embrace the fact she labels herself one. It's refreshing. Our culture is way too caught up with labels and the constant dispute over what a 'real feminist' is what brings us down. http://ideas.time.com/2013/12/17/flawless-5-lessons-in-modern-feminism-from-beyonce/ The positive spin she put on feminism was brilliant. Giada de Laurentiis. I remember an article about her from a few years ago about going back to traditional roles. Most of the comments were pretty brutal. Whether it was damage control or not, what she said was not ridiculous or out of touch. I like reading Jezebel, but I think people read too much into things. Exactly this. I had an unusual experience a few weeks ago... I was out with some co - workers and we were having one of those brief conversations, in passing, about relationships. I mentioned I sometimes make coffee for my husband (keurig) and bring it to him. My friend was horrified and said 'men will never learn to do things on their own if they're being catered like that' I laughed and said I'm not being oppressed, I do it because I enjoy doing nice things for him . It's just coffee....

Yea. Actually, Dr Drew interviewed Loni Love and Dita Von Teese about this very subject on his podcast. Dita, from her personal experience, said you're constantly told in your 20s you can do better and never settle but never quite hear about the consequences of waiting. Both are great interviews, definitely check it out.

Lol. I actually remember my women's studies class just ripping this apart years ago. This was almost a decade ago. Now that I'm in my 30s and reading this again, this isn't all bad. In fact, I agree with it. Even if it's fake.
