Holy fuck that is hilarious. I didn't think the clown could get any funnier.

They just don't want to see victims punished. I would amend that to say they just don't want to see female victims of rape punished. They're perfectly fine with males being victims of false accusations. (Male victims of rape don't exist; female rapists don't exist; the personal is political.)

Let your friend know s/he has no business speaking for others just because of their sex. Supporting the #YesAllWomen tag is sexist.

No need to identify yourself as anything. Bring up issues tentatively to gauge reception.

You don't have to call yourself a humanist either, btw. You don't have to call yourself a follower of any ideology, and I don't understand why so many people want to -- all it does is limit one's options. Congrats regardless, of course.

Nice work OP. I've been fantasizing about doing something similar. Who in their right mind thinks they deserve to speak for all of ANY demographic? Go get 'em, get that account unblocked and keep at it! It won't be so easy for censorious jerks to get you suspended once you have more followers and a longer history.
/r/MensRights30/05/14 10:52 PM

Yup. This is how the twitter block bot gets accounts suspended automatically. If you create a new account and follow too many accounts blocked by the blockbot (mostly people critical of feminism, especially as it relates to 'atheism plus'), the block bot automatically blocks you for the users who have it enabled. This flags your account and you can be suspended without making a single tweet, by an automatic process, just for reading too many of the "wrong" active twitter accounts. Happened to me…

This is the comment I was hoping I'd see here. My fiancee describes himself the same way. It's a part of his wiring to not feel any desire to cry most of the time. He also says the experience of crying is much more physically painful/uncomfortable for him/men than for me/women, and after we compared I really do agree. Crying isn't cathartic for him the way it is for me. But there's a whole movement of people trying to shame and police men's emotions to be more "like women's". But you're not wome…

"Sperm Jacking" happens, at FRACTION OF 1% OF THE TIME, making it statistically irrelevan It happens a lot more frequently than that. You're flat-out lying here. You DO have reproductive rights. Yeah, I do. Men don't, you sexist clown. I have the right to back out of parental responsibilities after pregnancy occurs by aborting or giving it up for adoption. Men have no way to back out of parental responsibilities after pregnancy occurs. They are on the hook for child support. It's his body that'll be forcefully used to do the work to pay that child support. He has no choice. Even if he was raped. Even if his semen was stolen. Even if the pregnancy was fra…

What about campaigns like Project Unbreakable Project Unbreakable is stupid slacktivist propaganda. What about actual activism like Just Detention? How is feminism a necessary part of this? What about feminists getting the FBI to broaden the definition of rape to include male victims? If true, this is an example of feminism further fucking things up. Since when are crimes defined by the victims? Crimes are defined by their perpetration. People are charged for committing crimes. The real question…

The term reverse sexism is a very bad term presupposing that sexism has a default direction. And that's why feminists are the ones who use the term. It's one of their favourite straw men. reverse violence I like that. That has some argumentative power behind it.

I've heard all of this before. It's a red herring. Feminism =/= women's rights. You don't need to believe in the insanity that is patriarchy 'theory' to change a few laws for the better. Feminism does not deserve credit for the few good things you've described. Viewing past difficulties as 'deep inequality' is what you get when you put on feminism-tinted glasses (the 'feminist lens,' aka deliberate bias) and fail to notice that throughout that same long span of human history, men had a shit time…

Here's why your argument is fucking stupid: you've just moved the goalposts from calling an argument fucking stupid to ONLY calling an argument fucking stupid and saying nothing else, which is not what OP did. It's quite easy to call an argument fucking stupid and demonstrate why, as I have just done, and as OP also did. And further, although this is beside the point and I'm only discussing it because your fallacy brought us here, it can still be completely reasonable to call a fucking stupid ar…

OP, you've got one of the most fake-looking stories I've ever seen. It's full of cliches -- not only was the accusation taken to its full conclusion for the most unjust outcome, but the good/evil divide here is perfect. You did nothing at all that could be viewed as wrong, and she did everything wrong. She's like a Disney villain. What you're saying is true for men's and women's rights proponents/activists, but not feminists. Telling feminists that all feminists should be egalitarian (which would require them to drop patriarchy "theory") is like telling Christians that all Christians should be atheists (and therefore drop their god). The two just aren't ideologically compatible. You can't be both at the same time.

Sure they do. It's reasonable to describe things as they are. It's not necessarily unreasonable to get heated, either.

Everyone has a right to be a dick to people, especially since "being a dick" is the vaguest of disapproving terms and can easily include plain old disagreement and being correct to the dismay of one's opponent. Make no mistake, that's all this is. "Being a dick" is all this is? You're not even saying anything. That doesn't mean anything substantial. It's just namecalling. They may be feminists, and feminism may have contributed to shitty situations and gendered laws, but did these individuals? I…

We don't take kindly to feminists wandering here and shouting about how we're wrong, so why does stuff like this get points? Might have something to do with feminists actually being wrong, and rights (men's and women's) not actually being wrong. Unless you think that, like all people, all ideas are equal -- even ideas based in hate and unjust discrimination.

Disallowing filming also creates a climate of fear for attendees. If the organizers create that climate of fear, attendees will feel vaguely threatened or feel that a threat exists out there, and they're being protected from it. Bias confirmed! Feminism is necessary! It's culty psychological warfare if intentional.

I wonder if the school has a men's center, or is even allowed to have a men's center. If not, the feminist ideology is still the only one available on the whole subject of gender on campus. I sincerely expect lip service and blaming other men as perpetrators rather than women or both men and women, especially if the stat is fabricated.

Oh, and let's be clear, the video is not saying that men don't receive sexist harassment in public — they do, but it's far less commonplace in their lives. We know men receive less sexual harassment than women because the video says so? So I guess an anecdotal compilation of clips from a single city selected for ideological impact can take the place of a scientifically controlled study in describing cultural trends across whole nations now. Cool.

Are you really suggesting that a hate group can still be seeking equality with the hated group? I don't think that's usually how it works, though I guess it does describe feminism, since it's hateful toward everyone in different ways. "Men are pigs! Women are equal to men!"

Some people like to be gagged during blowjobs, but if you’re not one of them, just stop and wait for him to notice you’ve stopped. It’s the “Third grade teacher holding up her hand in a noisy classroom until all the kids are silent” technique. Instead of communicating with your partner, passive-aggressively treat him like a child whose humanity you don't respect. Lovely.

The comment I believe you're referring to makes some potentially valid criticisms in its interpretation of the article, but the article's possible problems are not nearly so blatant or offensive as to warrant the hyperbolic title you gave it.

I think some of these are fake/poes/trolls. The Daily Fail can't really be trusted; Hailey on breastfeeding and circumcision strikes me as fictional due to her honesty about what circumcision accomplishes; and I think I read somewhere that the Cassandra Stein conversation isn't real. Sorry I can't provide better evidence though.
