There are many people in the world, there are people like that, yes. There are many factors that go into a situation, you might not be seeing the entire picture. The world is not as simple as this view you're describing. You need to find better people.

I've been using Reddit for about a month, made an account a while ago to post a question, but I've actually just used it for the last month because I was bored. The social dynamic is weird on here. People will downvote others for factual statements and completely reasonable statements. So, don't concern yourself too much with these forums.

Yeah, if you're talking about crying, 100%...you might want to start using paragraphs when you write, though, I couldn't get through reading it all

If she was 10 and she had that knowledge then she was probably being molested etc by some adult or something, probably on an ongoing basis. You're both victims in this case. Doesn't make it any better, of course.

You don't need to win an argument. Just have the point of view and let it be known. You're breaking the ice for other people, they might follow suit and start speaking up for themselves.

Fight emotion with emotion, bud. Have a panic, you're not ready yet and that's true (doesn't need to be a promise for the future, but if that's what it takes, then you agree that it's too soon and you can try later, once you're married or whatever need be, again, not a real promise), you think this will ruin your relationship, etc. All the things you're saying in your post, just with your feelings. I mean, that's your best shot, the way I see it, getting her to agree to a future time when you're…

She's like Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul? Serious question: are you high? Alternatively, how dare you besmirch the character of Kim Wexler with such a comparison!

I wouldn't call it propaganda, cause it's so poorly done amd that doesn't seem to be the purpose or motivation of the writers. To me, it's more like a bunch of woke people wrote themselves into some fantasy world where they can vent and their main character can be a Mary Sue who can do whatever they, sorry, whatver she wants. Like a child wrote a story..yeah! and then she can have ice cream for breakfast, and the mean kid at school, yeah, she can throw him in the garbage, oh no no wait, we shoul…

I watched all the episodes, mostly out of morbid curiosity, because it was so incredibly bad. It's one of the most poorly written shows I've ever seen. It's like a bunch of children wrote a show. I'd say it's pretty sexist in the sense that all the male characters are lesser people than the female characters. The men are sexist, idiots, assholes, perverts, etc. She-Hulk herself, Jennifer, is an awful character. She is a narcissist and is one of the most selfish characters I've ever seen. It's cr…

Yes, but I'd like to add that the external world is very important. It's just that you need to work together with it. And that does come from within like you said.

Actually, he said you should focus more on figuring out why you feel this way and then try to solve the problem. And he just suggested that you join positive activities which help form community with positive people or which improve your personal life, which could be a solution to feeling this way. Maybe the way he said it isn't clear to everyone, but that's how I read it. Edit: for clarity.

It's just a standard character attack employed by people as a way to "win" an argument, nothing more in my eyes. They might as well be a kid on the playground saying something like "yeah, well you have stupid hair" in response to a valid argument.

Good, you know that some STDs take a while to show symptoms, right? So, you can only really be sure you didn't get something like HIV after like 30 days (very high probability you have nothing after that time...but also odds are you didn't get it from a single exposure). Not a doctor here, just telling you what doctors have told me. The responsible thing to do would be to not sleep with anyone else until you're cleared by your doctor.

First, you should always use a condom because there's disease and pregnancy, especially if you just met the girl. If this is how she behaves, she's more likely to have a disease. You can't stay hard using a condom? Come on dude. It sounds like she's scamming you for money. Luckily, she is unlikely to be pregnant from a single encounter, but it is possible. But again, she's probably sleeping with loads of other people. Stop engaging with her now, you sent her the money. The more you communicate w…

Clickbait. The comment they used as proof is something like "well that's the most unattractive thing I saw a woman do today". If there were so many negative comments, they would've added them to the article. As for the other comments that she works slowly..well, that's what I thought too, it's just true. Not because she's a woman, but because she literally worked slowly in the video they posted there. Anyway, seems like it's not a thing, just "edgy" modern "journalism".

You need to meet people through groups of friends and communities so that they have the opportunity to get to know you. Dating apps and blind dates and these types of things didn't exist for the longest time and they create strange environments. I know a guy who has been married for thirteen years. He has more problems than you describe. But he's incredibly kind and genuine and his wife loves that about him.

So my comment was upvoted and has since been downvoted Reddit tells me. Which is ridiculous. Do you want to be pragmatic or do you want to be reactive and emotional? Pragmatic: nothing happened, ignore some small number of people who had no effect.

You're right about that type of data, you can get something useful. But what I mean is that these things create distorted environments that change the behaviour of people involved. For instance, on the app you have to enter a number for height. So, now it looks like everyone must be 6 foot tall. But, when you look around you, you see all sorts of combinations between men and women. It seems better to say that in general women prefer a man who is taller than them. I think it's important that we s…

You should learn not to care. When I hear people say things that don't make sense or are unfair, then that just teaches me about that person. That one person. You seem to be taking this very personally, these opinions. If you keep taking things people say personally, then you're gonna have a hard time bud... trust me, I know from my experience, most of us do, both men and women. If a five year old child says insulting things to me, I don't care, because they're five. Context matters. You get wha…

OkCupid is not a reliable representation of the real world and neither are the posts I read online or the videos I see. I saw a meme where a man tells a single divorced mother all the reasons why he is rejecting her (she asked). That meme was posted in a reddit feminist group and the comments were awful. There weren't lots of upvotes or a lot of overall interaction from the members when you consider the size of the sub, but there were tons of awful comments. Saw that same post on Facebook and wo…

Yeah, I see what you're saying, but I think I need to see the study. I think that's a pretty bold claim for them to make and I don't know how they would determine such a thing with actual proof, not just some postulation or theorising. It just feels like a normal thing; if I am walking past you, I am not thinking about your personhood unless we interact in some way, and even, there are levels to it. The world is incredibly complex, so my brain is constantly simplifying everything around me, I kn…

That seems like a very strong claim for a study to make. But, even so, I think this is constantly happening with all people, perhaps just on different metrics. I honestly don't notice people, both men and women, who don't stand out. I mean, I see them and notice details because I pay attention to my surroundings, but I mostly remember those who stood out.

Well, I really like it. It's so much better than the poorly defined "toxic" or simply using no adjective and just saying that, for instance, "feminism" is bad as a blanket statement (which it is not). It also opens the door to throw in the word "constructive" so that we can have a much clearer dichotomy which would lead to a much more balanced discussion...since it will force you to acknowledge both sides. It reminds me of yin and yang.

I think he just made a statement using the appropriate scientific language; it's not gibberish since it makes sense. And it didn't seem like a quiet jump to say humans must be similar, I don't know what's controversial about that statement. Similar but obviously different too. Anyway, I don't really want to have a debate about incels, but I think this interesting. You're right, sexual selection is much more complex than just looks. If someone says that to you, that you're only being nice for sex, then either they are insecure or you aren't truly being nice and your agenda is obvious. Bottomline, if you're a good guy, then just shrug off the people who treat you poorly.

Did only women dogpile you or show you a lack of support...or made you feel you couldn't open up...was it only women or did it also include men? In my experience, many people aren't great in those types of situations. I think realising that it isn't necessarily related to a gender might help you to feel less jaded. It also has to do with you and the people you choose to associate with. I view this as a positive, since it means that I can choose to associate with better people.

I think you could've written this in a better way, bud. The language and anger instantly takes away from what you're saying. Onlyfans is a choice. It's your choice to pay them money and I'm fairly certain all the customers know exactly what they're paying for, they're not helpless victims. Personally, I pity all the people involved, no matter which side of the camera they're on.

Similar. I really grew when I truly realised how I was responsible for letting that continue to happen to me. Not that I'm at fault and they're not, they're not off the hook...what I mean is that, now, that will never happen to me again. I learned and can see how and why I allowed and tolerated all of that. I worked on myself and how I see and interface with the world. As you know, most people are flawed and you have to carefully pick the people you associate with (people who are flawed in a non…

I don't know how it's clearly worse, bud. False rape accusations are awful, of course, they create serious reputational damage and cause trauma. I think it's disgusting and people who falsely accuse others should be sentenced for such crimes. But physical assault instantly traumatizes people and can almost immediately cause PTSD and serious psychological conditions...and rape is the most egregious form of physical assault. This post and the example of women making coffee would fall under some form of sex discrimination rather than sexual harrassment. Sexual harrassment must have some kind of sexual component to it, whether that is foul language, comments, quid pro quo, unwanted physical contact, etc.

How is paying rent jumping through hoops? He's saving $200 by only paying $400 rent for a nice place...that he gets to live in...the poor guy. He's not being singled out, he's not family. And he doesn't have to prove his loyalty, just that he's not a freeloader. The fact that he wants his girlfriend to pay makes zero sense.

The boyfriend is the asshole. He's getting a good deal paying less rent for a better place. The father is just paying his child's rent and his logic and reasoning is sound. I don't even understand why the boyfriend is upset, I would've been ecstatic to get such a sweet deal at that age.
