At 16 I was exactly the same, it's not uncommon and it's not a bad thing. One of the best things I can recommend, which worked for me is getting into lifting. It can massively boost you're confidence, just don't let it get to you're head. Also you're young man, these things will get better as you get older and mature a bit more and grow as a person. Trust me. Keep positive, try your best to stay with a good crowd of friends, and focus on school and your goals.

Honestly man, sometimes passion just doesn't happen with certain people right away, or at all. I've had a bunch of relationships and while most of them passion was present, some girls just didn't do it for me. Whether they are just boring in bed or in general, or your personalities just don't click.. it happens. I'm not saying it can't work, but generally it's not a good sign and probably won't be as enjoyable as with someone who you can be passionate with. My 2 cents.

If you feel like she likes you, just assume attraction and approach her. Works most of the time for me.

I get this.. but how about in this situation. I met this girl on new years, she lives on the other side of the country but she's agreed to fly over and meet me on the long weekend coming up in about two weeks. She's really into me and will text me a lot.. Should I just not text her in fear of killing it and leave it a bit till she's actually here?

Quite possibly, but an ego boost every now and then can't hurt right? :)

Yeah my thoughts exactly, not much of a loss, especially if she's going to act like that. Definitely had this weird kind of superiority complex going on.. I was trying to turn it around on her haha, at one point I even laughed and told her to fuck off, and she carried on dancing with me while pulling the fingers and smiling, it was quite funny. I just wish I cut the bullshit and hooked up with her..

Terrible, I was horribly introverted, not popular could barely talk to a girl if I tried at first. Luckily my reasonably good looks and being 6"3 eventually landed me some attention with girls, although I did start with an ugly one.. If I knew what I knew now about girls I would have enjoyed highschool ALOT more haha. Basically just being able to talk and flirt with girls without being afraid, would have been great. Also the great thing about highschool is the amount of out of school events/part…

Hey man, I've been in this situation. It really sucks and it's a horrible feeling, and it's easy to think that it will never go away, but trust me it does. Just focus on your own life, and slowly but surely the pain will ease and it will get easier to stop thinking about her. Sure you might miss her every now and then, but you know why it didn't work out and it's just the way it's meant to be, it is for the best. Give it time my friend :)

Yeah I should have stayed around a bit longer, maybe asked her to come along with us to the next bar. Oh well, I just wanted to try a pick up line :D

I have been thinking about this same thing a lot lately. Looking back on all the girls that I have ever tried to pick up, successful or not have been while drunk (in a night club/party), it's the only time I find myself in a situation where I feel comfortable. The question I have is.. is this a bad thing? Is it something I absolutely need to change? It works so why should I? I myself am a shy/introverted guy, and I don't think I could ever approach a girl on the street with confidence, hell I we…

I might get down voted for this but it works for me. I can be a very shy/introverted guy and what I've found helps is alcohol, I'm not saying get drunk every time you want to try pick up a girl. But if you're out with your friends maybe at a party or hitting some clubs, have some drinks, get drunk, get on a good buzz, but don't get so drunk that you cant pull together a good conversation. The hottest girl I ever dated only happened because I was drunk and managed to get the confidence to just go…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
