You are correct. Rowdiness is obvious to an educator and pervasive in the classroom (easy to rile other kids up when one is being rowdy), whereas females with ADHD are more likely to display symptoms of inattentiveness, which is less obvious to a teacher and more isolated to the student. Thus, more boys are diagnosed. For adults ("adult ADHD" is sometimes referred to as a separate disorder, although truly I think it means the group of us who have ADHD and were not misdiagnosed as children, as al…

This may be different for guys, but I personally do 90% of my shopping nowadays at goodwill or on discount sites (ideeli mostly) or in discount stores (TJMaxx or Macy's clearance). I realize that most of the time, what I'm buying isn't necessarily something I need, as my wardrobe is fairly complete as is. I think suits and things like that you should buy with a good quality, but I wear sundresses to work 90% of the time and while they are dry clean only and of a decent quality, I only paid full …

Same. The god damn hinges on the containers break before I actually finish any shadow or powder. The only thing I run out of is mascara. This woman is obviously high maintenance. Fake tans, eyebrow shaping, waxing, personal trainers? Please. I am fine with being pale, I pluck my eyebrows myself, I shave, and if I need a work out, I go for a run, bike, or lift some weights I have at home. I really hope this is satire.

Thanks for being honest about your antiquated POV so I can quit wasting my time. I don't really want or need your opinions on this matter, nor was I asking for them. I was merely explaining myself. Good luck, you need it with that kind of attitude.

Alright, thanks for the dictionary definition. I see where you are coming from, but that doesn't mean it isn't annoying. If you refer back to my original use of the word, that was really my point. It was getting to me, and that's why I had talked to my boyfriend (that whole security thing talked about in the original post? That's why I went to him with it). Hot guys whistling and making lewd marks are still obnoxious at the end of the day. I don't think you're really getting it. I'm not saying a…

No, not all of them. A large subset of those hitting on me are objectifying and those individuals wear on me. It's not men asking me out that really gets to me, as I can politely turn them down, and all is well. It IS the objectifying ones that do bother me--the whistling and people saying "I love you" as I pass them, those who react to my turning them down by calling me a bitch and being aggressive to the point where I need to leave a bar, or who harass me at work to the point where I can't do …

No, but after 3 years together in the same neighborhood (university), we're currently long distance as of a few months ago and will be for the foreseeable future (he's in the military now). I like to be very honest and open about things. Since my move, I find a lot more guys hitting on me than before and I mentioned it to him. Did not go well. I was kind of looking for comforting (being objectified more frequently isn't always fun), not looking to upset him. I sometimes tell him when I have plan…

My boyfriend has mastered 1 and 2. After several years I still haven't figured out where the boundaries lie exactly because I don't actively test them, but it can be confusing. He's actually mastered all 4 of these things. No wonder he's had me wrapped around his finger for so long.

I'd venture to say birth control and condoms should be treated the same. I know it's a medication and there are contraindications, but don't many over the counter medications have those also (you know, talk to the doctor about using this product if you have high blood pressure, say)? So, like condoms, you'd pay for it at a drug store. If insurance will cover birth control, they should cover condoms. Do any insurers do this? The only thing that seems conflicting would be if you had a preference f…

I enjoyed reading this post much more, now that I don't feel so attacked, and you've provided some more clear examples. Your points are valid ones. However, I'm not completely comprehending this portion, however: since social rules for men in the workplace have made men extremely passive for fear of making a "hostile working environment" Can you elaborate?

I believe you completely missed the point of my post. I'm simply saying wardrobes aren't equivalent between the sexes, and there are rational reasons behind it that I can back up with personal experience. I'm not looking for pity, and I'm surprised you comprehended it that way. I can see your reasoning, but really I was just trying to show that women's fashion isn't as trivial as it seems, and it isn't exactly equatable. Your post seems very volatile. It's also really difficult to comprehend tha…

Female with large breasts here. I can't wear the stuff my male coworkers wear to work, at least on the top. Button ups gape (so you can uh see in my shirt) and pull at the buttons, and polos actually draw more attention to them because high necklines make it seem like the breasts take up a larger portion of the chest. I just wear medium-neckline dresses with jackets or cardigans all the time because it's easier, but I'm never wearing anything too low cut without extra coverage because I don't wa…

I see your point, as I'm finding sources saying that due to the thinness of the lining of the rectum is compared to the vagina, the risk of exposure is higher, and even condoms more often break when used in the rectum. However, you really shouldn't go around saying "don't have so much buttsex" because you sound really, really ignorant. Maybe I would offer the advice of "Try to avoid casual sex, anal or otherwise, without proper lubrication and protection," but keep in mind this subreddit and the…

I think you may have responded to the wrong comment, btw...Squidman-X was the one you are quoting.

I do find this amusing, because the way society treats attractive people vs unattractive people is very different. However, what you're doing is dumb...that isn't the fault of any person you're refusing to hold the door for, and unless she deliberate emasculates you or is spouting off feminazi crap, it just makes you an inconsiderate ass. Why can't you extend the same common courtesy to everyone?
/r/MensRights25/07/12 04:46 PM

Well here, think about it this way--there ARE women who do this, and it isn't because they think men are the weaker sex. They believe in courtesy. Do you see the point lots of the people above are making? Men aren't opening doors and offering to carry things to subvert women, they're doing it because they are either considerate or at least trying to appear that way.

Not giving birth to a child you don't want to raise is "disgusting?" It's responsible, that's what it is. I think personal responsibility is something that should be emphasized over "you're killing babies!" Having a child is 18 years of responsibility and care, often longer, and is tons of money. I imagine she did it so she could focus on her two already healthy young daughters, and not take the chance that this pregnancy could result in a child that would take money and time away from them, as …

I haven't read Moran's book. The author of this article's interpretation of not using birth control could have been she wasn't on the pill, but the condom broke. Regardless, it may have been irresponsible, but exactly what happened on the night Moran conceived isn't my business, and if she didn't have the resources or simply did not want to bear a third child, it's totally within her right to have an abortion.

Yeah, it started off great but ended SO poorly. Things were fine until she said "I'm pro-life..." and started bashing women for their choices, and generally taking the tone of a catty bitch.

No, judging people for their choices to use birth control and have abortions when they want them is icky. Which is what this author does.

To be honest, I think a ton of butthurt men promote this stereotype. They tell women how easy it is for them and tell themselves they could get laid every night if they were only a chick.

Yeah I'm seeing a gross generalization. Is there an article or something you're reacting to?
/r/MensRights07/04/12 07:02 PM

Yes, but even as a woman it kind if sucks that I'm going to be the one responsible in my marriage for carrying and giving birth to a child. I think you're getting at that, in an ideal world, parenthood is something that is a decision and even when it isn't a decision, it's something that happens to both parents. But even in a traditional marriage, there's still a fundamental difference between partners' experience when one is pregnant. It really isn't exactly the same. I'm not saying there aren'…
