Anyone else just have that empty/DGAF feeling that won't go away after horrible Divorce?I feel you. I’m going through the breakup now, been out two months. We were together almost two decades. My entire worldview has been blown up. All I see now is the shallowness of everyone around. No one really gives a shit about anyone else, not when it really gets down to it, and I get it…most people are just trying to keep it together. But my wife was the closest person to me in the world and now it’s like I’m seeing things clearly, as they are and it’s bleak. At this point I’d almost prefer … | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/21 02:41 PM
So here i am, loosing the strength to move on.Work. Read. Learn. I got the same shit. The only thing that helps is to keep busy, but at the same time I want to take it in too, not avoid how it feels. Work, focus like a mofo when working. Read. I'm reading everything from Carl Jung to Dostoyevsky to Jordan Peterson. Trying to learn and expand my mind and hopefully better myself and come out of this stronger than ever. Rebuilt. Better, stronger, faster. Gym. Crushing the deadlifts. Healthy diet. Healthy sleep. Rinse. Repeat. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/12/21 03:44 PM
STBX is love bombing me (and it's kind of working) [Vent]I'm going through something similar...I think the best thing may be to try as best as possible cut off contact for a while...just do your thing and center yourself. Not cut off in a way of punishment or hostility, just tell her you need time for yourself and do it. I'm getting some perspective on the situation by being a little more removed and we were together 18 years...so it's crazy complicated and confusing...just trying to let the waters settle a bit so I can see more clearly. Good luck. | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/12/21 03:40 PM
STBX is love bombing me (and it's kind of working) [Vent]Not for nothing, but you're not exactly talking her up here...so you might consider where your doubts are coming from...you say she is lovebombing you, fair enough, but the way you describe her is not at all flattering or complementary so I have no idea why her behavior would have any effect on you. Honestly sounds like you are just afraid of the change, which is understandable after 17 years, but I think you may be trying to walk that line where you keep her on the backburner just in case and m… | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/12/21 04:12 PM

Ex wife 32f left me 39m 2 years ago, now she wants me back. We have a 9yrs old kid together. I still ice her but I am confused. What should I do?You’re an idiot for fucking her. I’m saying that bluntly for your own good, dude, run the hell away from that situation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/11/21 05:41 AM

How did you know it was time to go?When I finally accepted the point of marriage isn't to endure it. Great thought. Really something that I wrestled with a bit. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/11/21 04:33 PM
The wasted timeDid my 18 year tour of duty. Lots of backstory like everyone, but all said and done I'm happier being out than being in with all of the toxicity that had built. I'm actually starting to enjoy being single at 50...come in the water is fine. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/11/21 04:32 PM
Getting cold feetDude, sounds like you shouldn't be with anyone for a while honestly. Just hang on your own until you figure out what the hell you're doing. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/11/21 04:26 PM
(29M) -Every conversation with my spouse (28F) removes the life out of me, & makes my heart race.. I’m completely tired of financially supporting this woman. We have no kids, no assets, nothing together. I feel bad because she’s jobless, but I am literally killing my self everyday in this marriage.Does she have you feed her chocolate bon-bons when you get home from work? She's an adult, not your responsibility to take care of her, she wants to eat and have a roof, get a goddam job. Sorry I sound angry, but had a similar sort of thing...no excuse on her part. Dude, if it's like this now how do you think it's going to be in 10 years? I'll tell you because I lived it, it's fucking worse! Run. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/11/21 04:19 PM
Dying “old and alone”?This is probably frowned upon, but I've always kept the idea of suicide as an ace in the hole for certain situations (the idea helps me relax)...I think it's becoming a bit more acceptable for end of life, at least in places in Western Europe, I'm not going out like that (in pain shitting and pissing myself). I don't worry about it because there is always a way out. I figure I got about 25 good years left and then like Dave Chappelle says don't do drugs when you're young, you do them when you're… | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/11/21 11:48 PM
Grabbed my food and kept it moving…"I just don’t see the benefit in dealing with women when you factor in the costs and risks" Ha! This is me right here my man. I just start thinking ahead to the wasted time, compromises, plans, games etc. not to mention money and risks...not even close to considering dating and I don't have any children or anything...after 18 years of marriage and sacrifices to make her happy, I just want to be selfish...do what I want when I want and spend my money on me for the first time in a long damn time. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/11/21 11:37 PM

The guilt and anger are killing me, so frustrated not sure what to do.Jesus dude, this is so bad it almost makes me want to get back with my wife I just left. (not really, couldn't drag me back with Hannibal's elephants) | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/21 08:24 PM
Am I the only here who is seriously considering never marrying again even if I find my "soulmate"?No. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/21 08:10 PM
