I bet she told you that you her first priority! Ask her to choose her priority between two kids. Which one? Ask her what will she choose - your pre planned celebration vs her mom’s urgent care need? You can only hope that she understands that the question is not about priority when it comes to loved ones! It is about morals and ethics that one lives with. When you attend one kid over other because the kid needs you, doesn’t mean that you do not care about the other one. Same goes with any other …

Is she like that (having fun only) with kids, when you are not in the mix? I doubt. In the end, parents wants to raise their kids as a responsible citizen. I think, you are overthinking. IMO, just do your best with your time with kids.
