54	6 years for false rape accusation The sentence should be the same as the man would have received had the crime truly happened. Don't misunderstand me, rape is a vile crime and needs to be punished harshly. But, rightly or wrongly, the alleged perpetrator is not entitled to anonymity under current law and the fallout of a false rape allegation follows an individual around for the rest of their life.
