I wanted it before I said anything about it to her, I say it was a mistake because I told her and she expressed discontent, but now that I’ve gotten it it appears on the outside like what you’re describing. If I had just gotten it without saying anything I feel it would be less of an issue, less like I’m doing it to spite her, which I am genuinely not.

I’m not sure if this is rhetorical, but yes I would. Also depends on what out is, if it’s for our anniversary, that’s one thing. But if it’s to go out with friends I.e. not for me, then a definite yes.
