It’s perfectly appropriate to make female friends at these things. It’s not appropriate to go to these activities just to try to sleep with the women. Unfortunately it’s the opinion of many men in this cesspool that men and women can’t be friends. Those same men are the ones that get called out for being socially clueless degenerate creeps because they’ve never had a female friend in their lives.

When I was in basic training, drill sergeants would make a whole point of telling privates to wash their ass. I heard my DS yell about this many times. Out of the roughly 40 people in my platoon, there were several that did not do their laundry or bathe on a regular basis. We realized about halfway through basic that there was this one guy that had simply never done his laundry. We had been sweating and bleeding all over our clothes for MONTHS at this point. He was so adverse to cleaning himself…

I didn’t realize how beautiful the people I grew up around were until I got stationed in what I consider to be a small city (200,000 pop).
