Yes yes yes! Had a friend who disrespected me over not accepting my boundaries. She sent a frenzy of texts projecting her anger onto me because I wouldn't do what she wanted. Blocked.

Thanks for sharing. I am a WOC (non-Asian) and dated an Asian man years ago. He was very threatened by white men and felt like he had to prove that he didn't abide by the stereotype of Asian men. Also while he was with me he would point out Asian women who date white men and say "treason". It was very strange to me that he felt so strongly about this. He was redpilled for sure and would be on reddit a lot. He was narcissistic and emotionally abusive. I would say to look out for some Asian men wh…

It's good to cess this behavior out. It's not good to have a man be on your heels all day because they have nothing to do either. These the kind of guys who don't value women's freedom and must have a woman cater to their every need.

Been here before. I had major anxiety of my ex getting mad at me for the smallest things. He wanted to control my every move. I lost touch with myself. I didnt know there was a name for this sort of manipulation. It's sick and awful to do that to someone who isn't even conscious of this or couldn't even fathom why someone would do something so evil.

I'm a person who loves sunrises and sunsets. While we were dating my boyfriend woke up at 4am to meet me to catch the sunrise a few times. We've seen some beautiful sunrises as the beach or at the pier together.

OMGOSH THANK YOU FOR THIS! I've been waiting to talk about this season finale with someone who shares the same opinion. I am so shocked by everyone is happy that Lawrence and Issa are back together. They've been toxic from the beginning. I agree with all your sentiments. I really would've loved to see how Issa could have found love within herself and kept scaling her business. You don't always NEED a man. It's okay just being a woman in the world. That is enough. I went back and forth with someo…

I totally agree with Instagram is not a reflection of reality and I can attest to this. I was in one of those "insta goals couple" relationships. Our social media was followed by people who were "rooting" for us and our pictures were shared a lot. But behind closed doors I was being emotionally and verbally abused. Now I keep my new relationship super lowkey. I have nothing to prove to anyone and I'm very secure in my relationship now. While my ex is flaunting his new relationship on social medi…

You're right. Men don't rescue. If anything they'll take advantage of a women's poor circumstances. We must rescue ourselves and that will open us up to healthy love.

So true. When I was 18 I dated someone "exclusively" (that's what he called it). When it came to asking if it involves having sex with other ppl he said yes. It's just a way to keep women trapped under the guise of a potential relationship. Trash men ask women to do this. Don't fall for the okie-doke.

This this this a thousand times! My ex’s friends use to encourage him to drink all the time. Would drink so much he landed himself in the hospital with a concussion. He values the validation from his friends because they’ve been playing sports together for a long time. Men really don’t care about the value the men in their circle have. It’s all about who been with them the longest.

Yes! Everything you said is true! These men really dgaf. I was with my ex for some years and would constantly get STI’s thinking it was me not doing proper hygiene. I would go every year for my pap and I’d get checked for STD’s and that’s how my ex would check himself as well and figured if I didn’t have anything he wouldn’t either. He moved right along weeks after the break up to some girl he met on tinder and I wouldn’t be surprised if he started having raw sex immediately. So be careful with …

Yes! many people do not know this. I had to find out the hard way. I believe plan b stops ovulation. If someone has sex the same day they’re ovulating there’s a high chance that they’ll be pregnant. If someone plans to have unprotected sex it’s best they take the plan B beforehand.

Out of the 6 years I was in a relationship I don’t think my ex ever went to see his doctor regarding his penis. I would go every year for a pap and of course I’d get checked for STD’s and such. He just figured that was his way of checking since “he’s only having sex with me”. And if I don’t have anything then he doesn’t have it either. 🙄 such a flawed way of thinking.

I actually don’t like being told “cum for me”. It just puts a lot of pressure on me to do it and stroke their ego. This is the surefire way to make me fake it. More times than not I can not cum on command. Lol I haven’t had sex since my ex and I broke up last year but moving forward I will be more vocal about that and what does and what doesn’t feel good. And to allow me the space to cum naturally without so much pressure.

I’ve seen this up close. An Asian man I use to date would say “Treason” under his breath while walking past an Asian woman white man couple. It was very weird to me. Asian men are not entitled to an Asian woman. And they shouldn’t judge others for dating outside of their race. It was also very weird because he was dating me, a black woman. I would find his statements very hypocritical and misogynistic.

I’ve definitely came to this realization before regarding my dating history. I had been shitty in the past and I tried to do better in my next relationships to prove to myself that I could actually be in a good relationship. These men were toxic to me and I settled for a long time thinking I always had to earn love or prove that I was loveable. It seems you’re in a better headspace now that you’ve realized all of this. Thanks for sharing and much luck to you on your self love journey. 💞

I definitely agree with this. I listened to Manon Matthews episode of Share Your Scare. She shared she married a compulsive liar. She said she never had any mental health issues or self worth problems at the time and she still ended up falling for him. Textbook narc lovebombing.

Undoubtedly older grown men who date barely legal girls know they’re trash and they know that the younger women don’t know any better and take advantage of that fact. It’s awful. Men teach that way of thinking to other men. Thinking that somebody has to do it. “It was going to get done anyway. May as well be you.” My ex taught this way of thinking to his friend who didn’t pick up the social skills to talk to women.

I had a fear of being the bad guy for a long time and thought I was being noble by always coming last. This is something I realized my mom does and I’m actively working to undo some of these habits of hers that I took on. Everyday I’m choosing to advocate for myself because no one’s coming to save me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/02/21 04:44 AM

Yep! And being comfortable with that and sitting with the fact that you may disappoint some people. That’s still a hurdle of mine but I’m trying to check that when it comes up. “It’s kinda like oh well. Gotta do what’s best for me ✌️” Gotta always advocate for ourselves!

I’ve been learning how to be more assertive as I’ve recognized my true feelings and trusting my intuition. It’s definitely a process to unlearn being passive. Exercising boundaries and sitting with peoples negative feelings is something we have to do often so it can be first nature to protect ourselves while also being discerning of how we should react when men are trying to see what they can get away with.

Men do it all the time. It’s awful. I was the placeholder girlfriend. My ex gave me a promise ring 2 years into dating and dangled the idea of marriage for several years. They did the same with making sure I have certain achievements as far as getting rid of student loans and blah blah blah. Then a bit over a month after our anniversary he breaks up with me claiming he can’t see us getting married because of religious differences he knew about me since the beginning of our relationship. 🙄A month…

This is true. My first boyfriend contacted me when I got out of a relationship early last year asking to “rekindle” a friendship. We didn’t end terribly but I found no reason to add any more friends to my life. Also we haven’t spoken in 6 or 7 years because my ex asked me to block him because he felt he still liked me. I agree as well. Women putting the man in the social media bio profile picture or adding their s/o in their bio is a bit odd to me as an adult. It makes me think that their identity is that relationship. I can also speak from experience. It doesn’t mean anything if you have your man all over the Instagram and he vice versa trying to compensate for the lack of having a good relationship. If he’s for the streets... he’s for the streets.

My narc ex told me it left a bad taste in his mouth that he had to pay for me to enjoy his birthday celebration. (Rented an Airbnb in another city and ate out for every meal of the day. It was very costly for me) It was the only year where I could not cough up enough cash to do stuff as it was my first year that I moved out on my own. I agree and I can attest to being promiscuous after being sexually abused. I thought I was taking my power back but it really drained me of my self esteem. I was definitely operating out of trauma. I wish there was more hype around this fact than the fact of women owning their sexuality through sex work. It’s really just another manipulative patriarchal tactic to keep women behind so we won’t know our true power.😒

My ex was a true LVM. He loved retweeting controversial tweets and see people argue about it. He loved conjuring up a mess. He claimed he wanted to hear people’s opinions but really he enjoyed causing discord. In hindsight I can see him as the master orchestrator in a lot of mess between his friends. My ex use to constantly do this. And this is why my anxiety use to be at an all time high. He’d call me and taunt me about something “I did wrong”. He would withhold what it is and I’d have to figure out what I’d done wrong. I remember one time he was upset because I told me ex happy birthday. He verbally abused me for that. Whew chyle! I couldn’t wait to talk about Girlfriends with y’all. I can not stand the pickmeisha in Joan. She’s a well off lawyer. Seeing her beg men to love her is very disappointing. She’ll just go off and create scenarios in her head of men she barely even knows. I’m like why?? Also to see her treated like shit time and time again by Toni is just sad. Clearly a toxic friend she chooses to keep in her life just because they’ve known each other since they were children.

This is extremely creepy. I remember being younger some guy from church who had a crush on my aunt would leave the “Love Is..” comic strips from the newspaper on the window of her car. Everytime we’d come out of church id think it was extremely creepy. And this is coming from the same guy who lied to another guy who was interested in my aunt. Telling him that she’s a lesbian. My ex use to constantly do this to me. Always talked about how he loved skinny arms and loved a thin woman. He would constantly retweet photos of women online who looked nothing like me and it really broke my self esteem. The guy I dated before him would constantly tweet his preferences as well and I’d always try to match that. It’s a battle you’ll always lose to try and meet someone’s expectations. I have a friend who was dating a guy for two years and she complained that he hadn’t said I love you yet and it was probably because of his past or his family background. Many men use this gaslighting tactic to invalidate a woman’s response.

I was waiting to see this on here but I hated this. He gaslighted her and she kept having repeating herself. Just because he keeps asking the same question and doesn’t like her answer it doesn’t mean she’s wrong. He was trying to invalidate her response. 🙄 ugh. And then with the “pressuring into marriage”. When women state their standards and men can’t give it to them or feel it’s too much effort to have them step up to it it’s “pressure”. Like if you don’t want to get married then don’t. Nobody…

This is so true about LVM and pregnancy. I personally don’t believe in abortion due to religious reasons and I had communicated that in the beginning of the relationship with my LVM ex. Guess what? Ater raw dogging for 4 years I got pregnant. I took a plan B but it just so happened that I had sex on the day I was ovulating so that was pretty much it. 🙃 When I told my ex I was pregnant he blamed me for not getting on birth control even though he would not wear a condom and consented to sex withou…

It’s really sick and twisted they get joy out of causing women pain. 🤢 Most men actually hate women and don’t realize it. I think I’m at the point of stating my boundaries just once and if they’re crossed even once.. I’m not even going to reiterate. Just block and delete. I realize men know exactly what they’re doing. They pretend to be oblivious and then get upset at you for not giving them another chance to f*ck up again. It’s laughable.

They told me she made him and his brother sign a contract when they were little that they have to let her live with them if she wants. I was like 🤔. It’s seems kind of controlling. Especially to put on young children. He still lives with her at 27 years old. And she planned to get the basement renovated so he can have more room. Smh.

My ex was a night owl. He would sleep during the day and was up all night. I had a 9-5 and would be tired after work. He’d call me every night at like 2:30 in the morning almost every night. Then when I’d see him after work sometimes he’d get upset that I was sleepy and I would fall asleep on the movies we would watch. He messed with my sleep for years. I won’t do it again.

I got out of a forever girlfriend situation and I realized my ex was a narcissist. That led me to the narcissist abuse subreddit. A user mentioned this subreddit in regards to leveling up in all aspects and I was definitely in need of leveling up!

So sorry to hear that happened to you. He’s awful. I experienced verbal and emotional abuse from my narc. Towards the end I had crazy anxiety. These people don’t change. There is no way to deal with these people. Even when you try to rationalize or explain how you feel it always turns out your fault and your feelings are never taken into consideration. It’s just better to save your own sanity and get out as quick as you see red flags. Listen to your gut always. No one deserves this kind of treat…

I second the title. My narc use to yell at me. I tried what the article suggested. Didn’t work. I won’t put up with it again. It’s just best to leave these temper tantrum babies alone. They have some inner work to do.

Yeah. I agree here. One of the reasons my ex broke up with me is because I didn’t have money to go on a trip for his birthday that he planned that same week. And even though I made birthday plans for him already he decided he didn’t want to do that and instead wanted to go to Toronto. He paid for me and I had to pay him back. Said it left a bad taste in his mouth. 😒 I was so dumb...I def gave too much of myself when he had commitment issues. Never again. FDS all the way!

I feel the same way. Energy vampires they are indeed. Now that I’m out of it my life has been so much more peaceful. I hope yours is too.

You hit it right on the nail with this post! My narc had no consideration for my time. Always! I always had to do what he wanted and when it came to showing up for me he would make up poor excuses. My narc had several of these traits. I was too blind in love to see it. Smh I deserved so much better than that.

I basically went through the same cycle as this. I was so anxious towards the end. But I’m glad that it’s over cuz I will never ever ever go for something like that again. I’m asking God to guard my heart even more now. I don’t even wanna be bothered with men at the moment.

-Is looking to do things for attention online like retweet controversial topics to create strife -always tries to play devils advocate when trying to debate topics -takes advantage of any opportunity to one up someone -extremely competitive -verbally abusive -keeping the door open with any old rendezvous -go tit for tat -tells you a sob story about how their ex broke their heart and is crazy -mirroring -lovebombing -exaggerates the truth -gaslights *some of these are not necessarily early signs.…

I would say you’re already on the right track. I’m hoping you’ve blocked them and don’t lurk their social media as well. If you have memorabilia of when you guys were together get rid of it. Completely detox your mind of this person. Keep reading posts on here and watch videos to learn your queen status. I’m healing from a narcissistic abuse relationship of 6 years still and it’s been 3 months so far. The time moves fast when you completely devote your time to healing yourself and I’m in a much …

Keep yourself distracted and use all that energy you poured into him into yourself. If all it takes is for his ex to come back into his life to make him unsure what he wants go about your way. You should come second to none. Don’t wait for someone to be sure about you. You deserve someone who’s absolutely sure.
