If you never learn to love yourself first, and be kind to yourself and treat yourself right..I.e..give up the booze...then you will never learn to do that for another person.

Because no one really cares about men. We are just ATM's and workhorses until we break down then get tossed away like a broken toy.

My ex got our 2 dogs...but it had to be that way as I had to work fifo to be able to survive. My 2 sons came with me tho...but they were 18 and 14 .They saw thier mother for what she was...a drunk.

2 years and you let her live rent-free in your head?. Come on man....sink yourself into something that inspires you to be better for you. Don't give her any more time or attention...if it happens...let yourself think it..take 3 minutes to work through it and move on. You had your turn on the ride..now it's time to get off and leave the fun park.

Your story sounds exactly like mine. It's been 10 years...my two boys are grown and have thier own lives now..I have gone from the depths of despair and nearly losing the house, to now having my own place , working six figure jobs and my life keeps getting better. I just recently met a beautiful filipina who I vibe with really well. My kids hardly speak to their mother. They tell me she just gets drunk all the time and starts crying over her bad choices.

It is difficult . At 51 all I really do is my job , and be a dad . I am lucky now both my boys are in thier 20's and are thriving. I am looking to travel more while I can to see more of the world before there isn't much left of it.

Why don't u just ask her directly?. Grow a pair..be an adult and ask her directly why she is asking you to be at these things when she was apparently so scared of you. Stop being a doormat.

After clawing my way back from the edge of homelessness and having my car repossessed.due to the amount of money she wasted. I now have my own home , a paid off car , a motorbike , and my investments got to 200k which allowed me to get my house and car sorted. I am in a home ,with one of.my sons , in a good job and building my share portfolio back up again

As a 50M..and having been single since about 2014 and raised my two sons alone , i thought i would give the apps a go. What a shit show. I am not a big drinker , after seeing my father fall into a bottle for many years , and my ex , who would start the day with bourbon and coke and pretend its coffee, however the amount of woman who have a drink in hand in about 75% of thier pictures like it was all they ever did .

Apparently i was boring because i wanted to make a decent living so my family could livenin a nice home , she could have a decent car , and we could take fun and exciting family holidays to far away places. I'm not interested in ever living or co habitating with a female again. At 51 and having to claw back a 6 figure loss...just not worth it. I head off on holiday for 3 to 4 weeks a year and just have casual fun in other countries. I dont care if i am labelled a sexpat..its my life and my money, and i do what i want ..i have no care of what other people think anymore.

why feel the need to compare yourself to anyone.? Why do you let her live rent-free in your head? All of us are on our own path , our own journey through life. We come in alone ,and we go out alone. Do you , no one else but you. Be the CEO of your own life and journey. It will take time to get where you need to be , and that's ok. No one has said you have to have it all figured out. Take all the time you need to find the way back to yourself. You got this.

Unless you have been issued a VRO , or restraining order stating what means you can or cannot contact her with , that has been approved by a court and presented to you on paper by Police officers, you are ok to contact her. However, do it all via text, so you have a record of what was said at all times. If you have stuff that belongs to you , contact the police and let them know you want them in attendance when you collect your belongings from her place of residence . In all other aspects, ignor…

I am 50m , and split up with my ex in 2015. It took a while to get interested in any kind of sex for me, however there was a lot of stress and anxiety I went through . It took me a long time to gain an sort of confidence back . Even Cialis, Viagra , Kamagra etc doesn't work unless you are in the mood, both mentally and physically. Its not a cure all that will give you a raging boner all the time. As I get older, I prefer the mental stimulation of a sexual partner , a lot more than the physical a…

i did it myself after finding out how much lawyers charge just to read emails. I got out with a 90k payout to her. But i kept all my super, my car, my bike , most of my investments. Approx 450k in total. I have to sell the house we had together , but i am buying a new one on my own now with a 100k deposit from the sale. Lawyers are scum. The only real thing you have control over is how you react to any given situation. If you have raised your kids ok as a good father, they will be ok. They will need their father to be strong , confident, and happy. Wasting time on dating apps is just that, Wasting time chasing shit that will just make you ever more annoyed .Most women on the dating apps are dumpster fires. If you want sex , pay for it for now.
