Wrong again. In this country you can literally kill someone walking down the street just because you think they’re scary. That’s exactly what happened to Trayvon Martin and his killer got off on self defense. Also, the US has a high rate of maternity deaths comparatively. And even if it’s “rare” that shouldn’t matter. I should not have to gamble against any odds that someone will kill me. The point is going completely over your head though. You’re saying u/mermaid28 is not listening to the other…

It’s not that simple. Sometimes you don’t know you’re at risk. My mother almost bled out while giving birth to me despite having no prior issues or disorders. Also, self defense goes beyond threat of death to any bodily harm. You cannot genuinely believe that pregnant cause literally zero harm to women’s bodies. Sure, for argument’s sake, let’s say abortion is the literal same as killing a whole baby. But we allow murder is certain cases, namely self defense. If you are under threat of bodily harm by another person, you can kill them without breaking any law because it is self defense. Pregnancy causes bodily harm and can even causes death. Ergo, abortion = self defense not murder.

For the sake of argument, let’s say this comic is totally accurate. The market value is set by the marketplace. If women really do start out with an advantage in dating simply because they’re women then that’s the fault of men who place the value on them.
