2	Men more likely to die during famines. Aid agencies focus on women and children. I actually don't understand this at all. Let's say that an organization donates food to an area suffering under famine. They decide to give food only to women and children, or at least prioritize them. You now have a group of single, starving men who are being denied their only chance at survival. 3	Why I'm Not Changing My Last Name for Marriage I don't see why refusing to take your husband's name is such a terrible thing. It's really only a common thing in the west anyway. For example, chinese women have never changed their family names after marriage. It's simply not part of our tradition. What matters is that a man's children bears his name, not whether their mother has the same last name as the father. I would never hyphenate or name my children after anyone but me. For example, many chinese parents actively discourage their daughter from obtaining a phd because it pushes marriage into the late twenties (4 years undergrad + 2 year masters + 5 year PhD), so that many female PhDs end up either never married, as they have lower SMV and are too picky to boot. 0	Best way to debunk .77 cent on the dollar claim? My argument is this. Simply imagine you have a company with X employees, and you live in a country with no labor laws. If we could truly pay women 77% of what we pay men for the exact same work, why shouldn't we simply fire all the men and replace them with women? Are you willing to pay a 23% premium just for sexism? The point was that some private companies/non-profits are run by conservatives who don't believe in birth control (less controversial) or abortion (the main line of opposition). The question is whether the government can force you to directly pay for something to which you are morally opposed.
