Narcissism is traditionally developed when a kid isn't getting the love and attention they deserve from their parents. I'm no psychologist, but I think it's a little different for women. Especially in western culture, women feel like they are supposed to be beautiful, perfect, etc. If they aren't matching up to their ideals while they're growing up, like not getting breasts quick enough or just not going through puberty gracefully, then this acts like a form of narcissistic development similar t…

Narcissists and co-dependents are often attracted to each other. While a male narcissist/ female co-dependent relationship is tumultuous, it also fits the natural order and can last since the woman is dependent on the man. A relationship of a male co-dependent and female narcissist, on the other hand, is doomed for failure. I believe this has an effect on why decline was seen in relationships only when the woman was the narcissist. Of course, it doesn't take a co-dependent to be dissatisfied in …

Multivariate models are one of the best ways to deal with confounding variables, so they definitely took into account marriage length. Also, longer marriage length was significantly correlated with a decreased chance of divorce/ separation. While I agree kids should have been included in the study to definitively answer that question, in general those are the couples with older kids. Upvote for objectivity, OP. This is making me question some things too.

And ruining his relationship with his son? He sounds like a narcissist. If this is the type of man this sub aspires to be then I'm out.

Yes, insecure men absolutely do this. On the anniversary of the death of one of our friends, a friend said he was pouring out some expensive cream double stout. The guy is also a beer snob. Somehow he managed to use the opportunity to display his vast knowledge of beer. And he barely even knew the guy who died.

I think your assessment of Louis C.K. Is a little off. To each his own, but he does have some red pill truth in there. In particular this bit about the female wall and "pussy + time over income squared." https://youtube.com/watch?v=Ohbv6haI1aQ

My ex met him at a party. He awkwardly tried to hit on one of her friends and failed miserably, I don't think it's all an act.

So true. This will probably get buried but my last girlfriend is a perfect example of this. She, self-admittedly, loves attention. So much so that it had been a problem in past relationships (except for the ones where the guy didn't give a fuck and was cheating on her). This made me think that she at least had enough self-awareness about herself to possibly change the behavior. Wrong, that was the male hamster spinning. At one point I lay out the truth for her. I tell her that the reason these g…

This girl clearly just listened to John Legend's "All of Me," got all emotional, and decided to vomit it out on the Internet so she could feel better about herself. "And I loved all your edges, all your roughness. Your imperfections were perfect to me." "Love your curves and all your edges All your perfect imperfections." It isn't even original dribble.

Getting attention is the same thing as being loved in their mind. This is why they're all about facebook and Instagram.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
