ITT: Women crunch the numbers on a LVM behavior that was previously just a generalized male-bashing tool, and are now side-eyeing each other as the realization that they are all dating/married to LVMs due to the ubiquitous nature of the behavior dawns on them. I'm a sucker for truth bombs, and watching this one unfold has been hilarious, so thank you all for your participation.

I think you are missing the point here. This same man, theoretically as your partner, wouldn't do the same things he does for his wife. He specifically gets her coffee b/c it makes her genuinely smile. For you, he would likely specifically go WITH you for coffee b/c it makes YOU smile. It has nothing to do with the specific action, and everything to do with the character and mentality of someone who views the happiness of their partner as worth their own time.

True, very similar to how communism can theoretically shape an ideal human culture. However, just like the application of communism historically, most children have not ended up being an exponential force for good. That's how we got here.

Made me guffaw. This comment deserves it's own t-shirt and bit part of a stand-up comedy routine. Well played.

This can't be real. Gonna need source to believe anyone would fund such an absurdity.

I think the implication is that if you don't register then you become a felon, and felons have restricted voting rights. For the record, I am for abolishing the draft so that this point is moot. Also, I support all citizens, regardless of demographic specificity, having the right to vote in any constituency where they can demonstrate they are net tax positive. I should probably build a disclaimer addendum so I can copy paste this shit instead of spelling it out each time.

I'm suggesting nothing. What I'm doing is flat out telling you that it's okay if you want to use feels to make this poetic nonsense work for you; but trying to argue that it's anything more than poetic nonsense is just objectively incorrect.

Idk, I'm with DWShimoda on this. You literally explained this guy's supposed intent better than his timeless poetic quote, and you're a redditor in 2018... Telling the truth in a poetic yet misleading manner doesn't make you smart; it makes you dumb for somehow fucking up just simply stating the truth in the first place.

This a superb post. Cogent, direct, concise, and, most importantly, a fundamental piece of wisdom that needs more air time. The fact that it almost feels un-American to state this very real fact is an indication to me that humanity has lost it's ever-loving mind. I am grateful to see people like you staying commited to truth, regardless of how ill-liked it is.

You would tell people who spent more than $200k on your education to "stfu"? On the surface, that comment seems farcical in the epic levels of disrespect and ungratefulness that it displays. I haven't ever had anyone pay for my education, so I may be out of line here, but I like to think that were someone to foot the bill for me I would allow them the space to comment on the proceeds of such a purchase.

Cool, man. Having more intellectual dudes in the world to write interesting stuff is a bonus for me, so I'm not disagreeing with your focus. I think you missed my point about there being an optimal ratio, but it's an exceptionally mathy concept and I have no studies to point to specific numbers so there's no value in belaboring that point. Just for reference, the games I play usually favor hybrids due to having dynamic events (mix of challenges from puzzles to combat). If life was simply a set o…

Ah, I see the problem. Thanks for explaining. The issue here is that you are using correlation to prove causation, which is a fallacy. Yes, all models wear makeup, and you are saying that all models are hot, therefore makeup is hot. Let's try that line of logic with something else. All bananas have a skin, and all bananas taste good, therefore anything with a skin tastes good. See the problem? Sometimes things correlate (go together often), but it would be incorrect to assume one caused the othe…

You seem to feel strongly about this issue, enough that it strongly impacts your perception of beauty. There's nothing wrong with that for you, but there is a problem with your logic in applying it to other people. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; that's a fact we can determine from evaluating beauty standards of a thousand cultures and see the variety (even contradictions) in them. Much like any social norm beauty does develop a standard within a subset of population, for awhile. So you ar…

I like the logic behind this analysis enough to upvote it, and the RPG-style breakdown made me smile. However, it seems like there's a more complex interaction going on here than you gave it credit for. All time is not equal, and we don't all have equal amounts of time. There's some kind of relationship between healthy living (i.e. building STR/DEX/CON) and time banked to expand your mind (building INT/WIS). The longer and more energetic you live, the more operational time you have to expand you…

Agreed, although I feel like you are implying something with this statement that I'm not picking up.

Lol, this is such a Twilight Zone twist on "Who hurt you?". Got your own little red pill thing going for mechanics, eh :)

I tend to agree with that assessment. Saying that, the reason why I watch this sub (and 2X) is because bravery (like fidelity, passion, solidarity etc) can become infectious. I'm not saying there's a William Wallace waiting in the wings here, but who knows? From time to time I see true GYOW posts on here and it's inspiring to watch those folk chase their dreams. Time will tell if MGTOW galvanizes behind brave men following their passions, or follows the more historical path for philosophic sects…

If I had to guess, I think Dr. Peterson's vested interest lies more along the lines of being opposed to the deconstruction of modern society that MGTOW heralds. He's a top-level analytical mind that is particularly adept at identifying societal framework behind individual action. It's no secret to him that MGTOW principles applied on a majority scale spells the end of community, markets, and industry as we know it. It takes a REALLY brave person, a complete fool, or someone with nothing to lose …
