4	It finally clicked for me why complimenting a woman for her beauty isn't very effective. I think OP was more relating to opening with a woman. Interests, and what she's into are going to get teased out from a conversation, where as on an opening you really don't have much to go on other then looks/fashion. 4	Seddit, we need to talk Outstanding analogy! As a trained martial artist of 11 years, I use my inner martial artist game when sparring, only because I have 11 years of technique training behind me. As a white, belt, I needed those techniques. No different here, and as a newer member to this community, I'm finding this is exactly what is lacking here, more specific instruction. 1	F*ck perfection. To be good at something, you have to suck at it first. I've been reading this for awhile, as a guy who has admittedly sat on the side lines but is now taking a more active role in his life. I've read a lot of stories "f closed on this, k closed on that" To date, my favourite stories to read, are the ones that go something like "shot down 4 times tonight, what am I doing wrong?"
