When will I learn?100%. I've made this mistake a few times. I think it's natural to think the person you were with, who knows you better than anyone will be able to understand what you are going through. I wasn't asking to come back just letting her know I wasn't in a good place. She did a great job of making me think she still cared and then the following day she screwed me over once again! I guess it's all part of the learning process, but in fact I think after the last time she actually did me a huge favour. T… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/04/20 11:50 AM
Children and COVID19In the UK she is and the family law courts issued guidance last week that if one parent feels the other is acting in a an unsafe manner, then the other parent can take matters into their own hands without any repercussions in court. My solicitor has confirmed I am within my rights to not return my daughter. I'm also worried about my health. The new boyfriend will be going back to see his other children that live with the mother who works in the hospital. Thanks for you advice, I don't doubt I'm … | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/04/20 05:14 PM
Can life still be normal and enjoyable after divorce with kids?I hope all the views are correct. I feel the same as you. I don't miss my wife, but I really miss being married and the family life that comes with that. I have quite a lot of difficult decisions to make at the moment, so that's not helping but even before that I didn't feel like I wanted the life I have now. Good luck to you on your journey. Hope you come out the other side a better and happier version of you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/04/20 08:04 PM
Children and COVID19You won't get down voted by me! This is where I am, yes my ego hurts but I feel like this is bigger than us all. Apart from my children and 'wife' I haven't been within 2 meters of anyone for 3 weeks. I have no doubts legally that I can keep my daughter. The guidelines from UK Family law says that if one parent feels the other is not complying with guidelines and putting the safety of children at risk, then the other can act unilateral and do what is needed to keep the child safe. The next parag… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/04/20 07:39 PM
Children and COVID19No health issues or anyone at risk, but as time goes by more and more younger people are dying that don't have any problems. We are recently seperated and haven't got very far in the legal process. There is no legal reason why she can't move someone in under normal circumstances. However in the UK you currently aren't allowed to move home or make any unnecessary trips, you are also not allowed to socialise with anyone outside your current household. He will need to travel to see his other childr… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/04/20 06:55 PM
Children and COVID19Yeah my ego hurts. Not for my wife (he's welcome to her) but for my family life and kids. You situation sounds similar to mine and a lot like others I read on here. Just don't know how another person could behave so selfishly. I think if at any other time I'd be gutted but would let it slide. I just can't decide if this is a serious health risk or I am letting my ego get in the way. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/04/20 06:42 PM
Children and COVID19Thanks for the reply I agree and have been picking a lot of battles so far. I just don't know if this is a bridge too far. I didn't say in the original message but we also have a 17 year old that lives exclusively with my wife. I am also additional exposed via my 7 year old if she carries on coming back and forth between us. I'm healthy, in my 40s but have just found out today that a school friend is in ICU. I'm not against sucking it up, I just can't decide if this a risk that I am willing to t… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/04/20 06:11 PM
She moved out yesterdayYep it sucks. It gets better and you have good days and bad days. Just remember that it is not linear. Sometimes I'm great and then out of nowhere I'll have two or three really bad days. Just ride out the bad days and I will get better. Be thankful for the people and things you still have in your life and try to not waste time dwelling on the relationship that is in the past. I can have days when I'm remembering an event or holiday and missing that, but if I think really hard back to that day we… | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/04/20 02:17 PM
