The Supreme Court just ruled that the government has to pay for the forms of birth control coverage that Hobby Lobby gets out of because it passes the tests for a "closely held corporation." Employees still get birth control coverage - it's just that the government has to pay.

I think the more overarching problem with this is the sorting and generalization across genders. Trying to fit 'guys' and 'girls' into definable stereotypes, or trying to do that with ANY group of people for that matter, is almost always wrong. Every individual person is unique. People don't consciously understand that at the level they need to, and brains try to simplify things for us, so we naturally try to file everyone else into categories.

It is NOT an inappropriate question. Have you considered that the things you're saying are offensive and that they might have a reason for criticizing you? Just because you don't mean to be misogynistic doesn't mean you're NOT being misogynistic. Much of what feminists complain about in society is that mistreatment and/or poor opinions of women is so normal that people don't even realize they're doing it.
