Try to find a subject you both really enjoy. If you have nothing in common with these people, move on. If you have nothing you are passionate about. Improve yourself. But it sounds like most these people are acquaintances and it isn't like many people to initiate at such an early stage. You are just going to have to get to know them better and then they will be more likely to invite you to things. I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like you are talking to people and expecting them to ask you to hang out. Sadly the world isn't going to work like that most of the time. You have to be the one to ask them to hang out. Its hard at first, but it makes a lot of sense when you come to the realization that for the majority of your life, your friends initiated everything and asked you questions.
