lol I use bruh as a term of endearment. Sorry if it came off as disrespectful.

A traditional relationship is when the male works and owns everything. He tells his wife what he wants, and she does it because she feels that is what she is supposed to do. The husband is supposed to take care of the wife because he is soppussed to view her as she needs help and the women is supposed to feel helpless.

If it can be proven ya they lied, but we do not focus on that. We more focus on stopping rape.

You need to undertsand one thing. Femnism just like all isms have a spectrum of beliefs. Femnism is a very large group. We got some bad eggs but I am not going on here to try point out the bad eggs in the mensrights movement. There are some extreme femnists movements. Many do not agree with them.

I try to educate people on gender roles using my privelege. I feel that gender roles are not needed. For example: Gender roles tell men not to shwo emotion. This lack of showing emotion usualy results in them being violent.

Patrirachy to me is a society where one is privilegded to be male rape culture to me is a society that rape is normalized and victims are blammed for rape. Im not gonna play which issues are worse for each gender. You can do your own research on your own time.

Im sorry to say but many femnists believe in what you said. To answer your question I dont know of any personally that do.

You just interpreted it as "Women as innocent helpless children, men as protectors and providers" I am going to stop answering your questions because they are full of fallacies and seem to be trying to start an argument.

We generally do not like you guys because almost all things you guys are saying feminists agree, but you feel that you need to go off and make your own group when we agree on similar things. It seems like you all are doing is trying to disprove feminism, not trying to get rights. However, I am trying to undertsnad yall better.

Im sorry. If you want me to eloborate when I say those things just ask.

Im not using it as an anecdote and the patriarchy is very complex and I was trying to give spare yall the boredom of it.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 11:33 PM

That is how you interpreted it as. I interpreted as she wants men to know that fighting the patriarchy can help them too. Please do not make your interpretation of some thing as fact.

We do not want to change people who are already happy with thier lives. Tradition relationships to me includes gender roles and gender roles make men more powerful than women.

To me ending gender roles is to let people not to be restricted by their gender. Please do not try to put words in my mouth that I did not say.

I can try to find it for you in a sec. I am not trying to argue with you, I am just giving you what I and the feminists I know's view on topics and to answer questions.

What I have heard is that men that attempt to commit suicide usually use more violent ways then women. More violent ways of suicide are more effective.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 11:04 PM

First: Rape ruins lives Second: Study's show that rape allegations are more likely to be true then false.

What me and the feminists I Know believe that the differences of gender was pertinent in coming to where we are now. However, we feel that is now causing more problems then good.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 10:59 PM

I know this is a well known fact because I have heard it allot. I am not trying to disagree with you on that.

I am a feminists so I can end gender roles. I also think egalitarian discounts the oppression minorities faced.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 10:52 PM
0

I have heard that statistic before, but I have also heard people say that women attempt suicide more. However, I have never seen evidence of either of these statistics. Feminism usually focuses on the suicide rates of minorities like trans and queer people.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 10:50 PM
-2

I am going to stop responding to your questions. I can only give you what I and the feminists I know beliefs. I feel neither of us should state what most feminists believe because we do not know that knowledge. I can keep answering your questions, but please do not make large assumptions like what you just stated.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 10:46 PM
-2

Well right now there is not a draft. That is why many feminists do not talk about it. Feminists do hope that we will eventually live in a world when gender does not matter when it comes to draft. Also, there are many reports of women being sexually abused while in the army, and when they file a complaint they get fired. So allot of feminists do not wanna force women into these situations if they do not have to.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 10:43 PM
-2

I feel that part of it is. Either gender can be a victim of violence and someones gender can not stop them from being abused. However I feel that the reason of some abuse are from gender roles. Yes I looked at them. I did not totally agree with them, but I understood their point.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 10:39 PM
-1

With my experience with feminism, I have never met a feminist that does agree with that position. Many feminist talk about how gender roles have made men feel like they or their peers can not be victims to these types of abuse. I am sorry you feel that is what feminism is about.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 10:35 PM
-1

USA, and not allot of feminists are doing anything to include women in it, but many do talk about it being a result of gender roles. This is probably from many feminists being anti-war. However allot of feminists are trying to get trans people able to serve.
/r/MensRights07/12/14 10:26 PM
1

I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but I know allot feminists including myself who care much about all abuse. I am sorry feminism has made you felt that we do not care.

I see ya'lls point but it seems like allot of these things have to do with both genders, but yall feel left out from some of the movements that deal exclusively with just females. That seems to be what yall basicly believe am I right.

I feel like that is sexist assumption about women. yes who does not like people buying them stuff. But if you wanna get into deep stuff. Men dont have to wrry about being told you are showing to much skin, have to worry that if they drink to much someone might snatch them and rape them, they have to worry about men thinking they can not be a leader becaus ethye might PMS. This seems miniscule to having to pay for dinner, which when i hae gone on dates with a girl we have always split the bill.

You a telling a feminist what you think femnism is.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 03:18 AM

you said women like to be courted. You said just the word women which means you are saying women as a whole gender.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 03:17 AM

no its not fine gender should not say if someone can take care of children or not. A person charector should matter. Not fi they have a vag or not.

lol peopel do not like women's hairy legs

I was trying to ask why socially or biologically are more men homeless
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:49 AM
-15

Lol sorry that was just a simple example. I sorta do not wanna get into the deaper stuff like slut shamming, and the whole "Nice Guys Finish Last" things.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:47 AM
-3

By using the word "serious issues" you are demeaning my beliefs and I do not apprecaite it. I feel like I am respecting you beliefs so please respect mine. as a male myself I have never felt expected to shave
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:46 AM
-2

My previous statement agreeswith your point
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:43 AM
-4

I dont see that society sees men as disposable. But I can see eye to eye with you on how many cases of abuse the man is usally assumed guilt.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:42 AM
-6

African Americans got to vote before women. I dont understand your point.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:39 AM
-9

What i meant by my last statement is that if you cannot connect gender to homelessness then why do you need to specify Male homelessness. there is allot of organization that help "Homless peopel" which is a very unisex word
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:38 AM
-4

Feminism is not saying that girls have worse problems (Although many including myself believe it). feminism focuses on destroying gender bondries. So men can be femnine if they want, or women can be masculine. Sorry im sorta rushing through all of these. There i so manny! AHH lol :P
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:36 AM
-1

I was trying to pitty you. I was apologizing for the lack of explination of wealth having to do with privilage.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:31 AM
-3

I don't get why there is a lack of support of empathy from society for homelessness.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:29 AM
-1

How? By numbers.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:26 AM
-7

I used girls not being allowed to grow leg hair as a way to debate "gynocemtrism". I was trying to show that many ways that females are oppressed are not obvious and cannot be shown be a statistics.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:25 AM
-2

wealth does play in privilage and I am sorry if this article did not adress it
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:20 AM
-6

I am not saying that men do not have that problem. I am saying that it worse for women. Just because something is not said (by me) does not mean no one(me) cares about it.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:19 AM
-7

Ok if you wanna go that route then fine. Why does homelessness link to being male?
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:16 AM
-4

I feel voting is important but we just have different opinions, and I respect that.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:14 AM
-22

Well I was trying to debate "gynocentrism". Its not a who has it worse competition.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:13 AM
-3

Well I sorta feel that it would help both genders ALOT if we destroyed gender roles. It would get rid of allot of the flaws with male culture, and more choices by women. I feel like bothe movements are fighting for the same thing and are just to stuck up with who has it harder.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:12 AM
-2

I feel like using statistics are not the smartist thign when discussing this topic. In these days numbers can get so easily scewed.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 02:07 AM
-2

After that I said now bothe genders do it. And that statement i was talking about the times before women were allowed to vote, so I do not get what you are trying to say.

I don't understand legally, but part of feminist i feel is that men should be able to decide to.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:52 AM

We watch a video of a feminist stating thier opinion, then we debate if its a good way to present the feminist movement and what could be done to make it better.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:52 AM
-44

Well I think the struggles women have are not blunt. Like it can not be shown by a statistic. For example, as men we have hair on our legs. If we wanted to we could shave it. Socially it might be a little wierd but no so uncommon. Women however are told to shave thier leg hair. However if one of them does not shave its a big deal. I am not saying though that these problems you present are a big deal just to be clear.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:50 AM
-11

Ok, I am trying to understand not debate, i appreciate your example but can you explain how these examples support your opinion.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:47 AM

Mostly blog posts.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:45 AM

Well I feel that if I women wants to be a protector good for her. If a women wants to be a protectee (If thats a word) then good for her. I just feel that a person should choice thier "role" instead of what genitalia they have.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:45 AM

We usually debate videos we see.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:43 AM

It would be better if you picked like one or two of those things and went into better detail with them.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:41 AM

I think men used to impose gender roles( because in that time only men were allowed opinions), but I think both genders now enforce it. I believe that ones gender should not force them to fit in a social role , so I think all gender roles are detrimental.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:37 AM

We give lectures about gender roles, and gender barriers. We also raise money for activist groups.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:35 AM

I can sorta see how that makes sense, but that can be very easily debated.

I joined the club when I was a freshmen. I became very active in the club leading many discussions, and now as a rising senior I was elected president. And for my background, I read lots of literature about feminism and gender roles, and I like talking about it to people.
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:32 AM

I am the leader at the feminist club at my school. I do not get how "women are treated better than men in almost every scale". Like give examples maybe?
/r/MensRights03/06/14 01:24 AM

Oh, so like is there a spectrum of people's belief in men's rights?

How? I'm confused.
